Looking for an old show
« on: June 06, 2020, 02:11:25 pm »
Do any of you remember an old tv show about a teenage girl- her father was from outer space and she could touch her fingers together and freeze time.  She could touch people and they would be unfrozen but everyone else around her was frozen. She then had to do something and I don't remember what to resume time again.   :-\ :confused1:

I seem to remember a show like that.  It was called Out of This World.  I think the girls name was Evie.

That is it.  Thank you!  Gonna see if I can find it on DVD.  I like the older tv shows.  Most of the new stuff is nothing but trash.

You're Welcome. :)  That's before everything became a reality show LOL

That is true - all shows today seem to be a reality show. They need to come up with some good series like the old days.

I remember watching that show! I also remember Double Trouble about identical twins girls with different personalities. And Down to Earth, about a flapper who died in the 1920s and was sent down from heaven to help an 80s family and earn her wings. And My Sister Sam... And My Two Dads... And Just the Ten of Us, which was a spin off of Growing Pains.

Aww, I miss old 80s tv.

I don't know what Double Trouble is.  I remember Double Teamed which was about twins but it was a one time movie.

I forgot about My Sister Sam.  I did find the Out of This World but the dvds all say NOT a US version.  I don't know what that means.  So I assume if I order it then it won't play on my dvd player.  Thanks @imaginarygirl I may look for My Sister Sam.  I don't remember what it is about but seem to remember watching it all the time.

Also remember Just the 10 of us.  Seems like there were reruns of it on somewhere not to long ago.  My Two Dads was okay.  I liked it better when I was younger.  I bought the First Season of it but did not like it as much as I remembered.

It wasn't really clues. lol  I did not know the name of the show.  I figured somebody surely would remember it.  I did not remember there were other powers. I just remember freezing time. I have often thought about how cool that would be. haha

I like All in the Family too.  Carol O'Conner played in a lot of different shows.  And totally different characters too.

A couple I just remember the name.  I don't remember the show.  I am going to look for My Sister Sam.  I need to read about it and see what it was.  I may order a season or two of that.  There isn't much worth watching on TV any more. Old shows are the way to go.
