No.  If anything it would go to the state where they owe the child support.  Not sure what I think on that.  The entire check should not just go to the baby momma. But they said in the list of people who would not get a check one was people who owed back child support.  And most times if the father is paying child support he has partial custody even if it is just 2 days a month. Which is really unfair.  If he is not unfit he should get to see the kids more than every other weekend.  Which is Friday night to Sunday afternoon.  I know a couple who divorced and the kids spend every other week with each parent.  Kind of crappy for the kids.

It is my understanding that the person who owes back child support will not get a stimulus check.  Not sure who it will go to, but it is not the custodial parent.

my granddaughters father is behind 23000$ on child support and they didnot get his check

You read? Where did you read this?  Parents get $500 or so per kid.  The KID does not get it.  And kids did not get $1200 anyway.  And if you did give $1200 or whatever to a 7 year old it would have to go to the parent. So what you are saying doesn't even make sense.

People make things harder than they have to be.  I do not know if it was even stated where the money would go. Does not really matter.  The dead beat parent does not get it.  It just said if you owe back child support you won't get a stimulus check.  Kind of like how they can take your return.  I would assume if it went any where it will go to the state where you owe the money.  They can also take your return if you owe school loans and are in default.  The money goes to pay toward that.  What most people are not understanding is this is not just free money.  It is an advance on next year's return.  People gonna come unglued next Winter/Spring when they don't get a big tax refund.
