Remember to keep hydrated and so forth . . .
« on: November 20, 2022, 03:46:01 pm »
1) Drink plenty of water. Keep your skin moist after hot showers and baths by using a good body cream or moisturizer. Slather it on, baby.

2) Use humidifiers to keep your nasal passages moist to avoid viruses and such.

3) Bundle up when you go outside and cover your head too.  :snowman: Cold weather will not give you a cold unless you get chilled and your body's defenses are lowered.

4) If you catch cold anyway, keep drinking water and don't forget that chicken broth and hot tea with honey and lemon will relieve a lot of your symptoms.  :star:

5) A fever is not a problem unless it lingers (because fever fights infection) or goes too high. Keep track of it.  (Call your doctor if you're concerned about fever for yourself or your child). You can take tepid baths (or give one to a child) to lower temperature if necessary. Aspirin and Tylenol can be used to lower fever and relieve aches and pains, but make sure you give correct dosage and follow directions for age of user.  :peace:

Not a doctor; not a nurse; no, but common sense measures really help to keep you healthy. I love you guys.  You can listen to me or listen to your mother or listen to your doctor. I don't care; but keep healthy!!

I got the covid virus back in July and was so sick I got dehydrated and had to go to the hospital for a couple of days.  They gave me 4 bags of IV.  I was so weak I could not even stand up long enough to wash dishes.  I have stayed in except order grocreys online and go pick them up at Walmart.  I do get my hair fixed once a week but I go so early in the morning except me and the hair dresser are the only ones there.  I am 81 years old and want to stay healthy.

Thanks for the reminder.  Sometimes as we go along we just forget to do the little things that keep us feeling better.  I hope a lot read and follow this advice!
