I think what the rule states is that posting links that result in generating income from other users are not allowed.

Links to news or other interesting(hopefully) content are allowed.

Those who have some "Cherokee" ancestry, may find it interesting that the traditional name for the Cherokee was Tsalagi (pronounced cha-luh-gee). Most prefer to be addressed by the traditional name of course when you tell someone you are Tsalagi, they look at you like you are an alien. ;0)

That's Funny, I have to tell people I have Tsalagi in me and watch them give me the WTF Face! :P
Yeah its really kind of sad that so many folks have been assimilated out of their culture and are for the most part very ill informed about the traditions and general knowledge of their heritage.

I was  talking to a guy not long ago and I mention my Tsalagi heritage, he says he has some friends who are Tsalagi but he is Cherokee.

O.......kay.

Used to be everyone wanted to be Cherokee, but once Dances with Wolves came out the Lakota are the cool 'skins now ;0)

Thank you, I think you are right.

No matter what race/culture/heritage etc, there is only one Creator, regardless of what we call them.

I think it is important to acknowledge our similarities as well as our differences.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

November 15, 2009 by Thunder Horse

Hidden away, out of sight but dotting the landscape of America, are the little known or forgotten Reservations of the Indigenous People of our land.  Sadly, the average U.S. mainstream resident knows almost nothing about the people of the Native American reservations other than what romanticized or caricaturisation versions they see on film........(READ MORE) @.....
