Hey folks, quick question that’s been bugging me. I recently tried to apply for Amazon’s business line of credit for my small candle-making business, and I got a message saying my business account needs to be “verified.” Now, I do have a registered LLC, I’ve been selling on Amazon for almost a year, and my account looks fine to me. But I’m wondering what exactly they’re checking to decide if you’re “verified”? Is it just having an EIN and business license, or are they looking at something else like credit or revenue? Would really appreciate if someone who's been through this could shed some light on it — trying to avoid wasting more time clicking around in circles.

Totally get where you're coming from — I was confused by that too when I went through it for my own ecommerce business. Basically, from what I gathered, Amazon looks at whether your business account has been fully set up with accurate legal info, including your business name, EIN, and linked bank account that matches your company name. I also had to provide a utility bill with my business address to get verified. If anything’s missing or mismatched, they’ll hold things up. When I finally got everything aligned, it worked. If you want a clear breakdown of what counts as being “verified,” this helped me understand the amazon business line of credit requirements and the process step by step. Hope that helps save you a bit of time!

Just jumping into the thread — I’m not currently applying for a business line of credit, but I’ve been using Amazon Business for purchasing office supplies for our team. Never really paid attention to the whole “verified” label before, but now I’m curious. Seems like there’s a lot more to it than just registering. Following along in case we ever decide to look into credit options too.
