Yea don't even think about trying to use a laptop in a hotel.  Friend of mine got his account banned that way.

That's weird because shortly after I signed up, I had to go out of town for several days and I was still able to do my dailies.  :dontknow:

I've used mine on the road too!  If you log using your own e-mail address?  should we not do this?

I had to go out of town for business in July and in August. I asked the same question after seeing someone had their account locked for doing that, got no reply and so I did not log into FC while I was gone because I was afraid of having my account locked. I guess you take your chances unless you get something from FC (Kohler and Administrator) saying it is OK. The rules do say only 1 IP address, so if you log in with a different IP address, you could be banned. Also, only 1 person per IP address so even if you decided to try it, if someone else had logged in from that same hotel and the IP address was then linked with their account, you could lose your account.

I didn't realize the daily offers expired.   I had 3 days worth in my inbox and I thought that I clicked on each one.

Simple answer, leave your home computer running with a free version of Team Viewer and log on remotely from your laptop. I do it all the time.

Hi Oldbuddy!  I would like to more about Team Viewer and would I have to download the free version of Team Viewer software.  This is properly the best and easiest solution for everyone that I've come across so far.

Great thought OB, I am installing the software now. for anyone that may be interested the software can be found at http://teamviewer.com/index.aspx. I bet my friend would still be making you 5$ a month had he known about this software before now. Maybe you should make a video on how to use this software so to keep your account from being banned, according to my friend he made you about 20$ before he was banned.

What if your power goes out on the computer at home?

If my power goes out, the computer reboots when it comes back on and I have Team Viewer set to load automatically, so it's ready to logon again. If my home computer blows up, then of course it can't be controlled remotely.

Does it work? I have been doing it for years and had very few problems. I started with VNC and tried several others in between, but since I started using Team Viewer I don't even look at others, it's that good.

How it works is you leave it running at home, then you run a client copy on your laptop and input an ID number and password to connect remotely and run your home computer just like you were sitting in front of it. I even have two screens on my home computer and can switch between them on my laptop.
