Wow. Here I thought Christ was supposed to be this noble stoic anti-materialist saint that his followers are supposed to respect, but it seems like he's more of some really cheap dumb fad now. Pretty funny. I guess maybe some people are just too idiotic to even grasp the basics of christianity, Marieelissa. That's really pathetic.

Sheryl, I agree with you. Also, people love to share their Lord with others, by sharing things like this.  I've seen amazing sand, ice, vegetable, and fruit sculptures of Jesus and related Christian things.  They are a beautiful testimony to share for others to enjoy.

     Sorry my Bible doesn't say having a sense of humor is a sin---even God laughs (Ps 59:eight).  Humor is a key component of joy and my Christian walk is a joyous one.  Even Jesus has a sense of humor, he wasn't popular with so many people because He was a "kill joy".  The "always serious faced", sad and pitiful Jesus is a false sterotype that many who don't know Him have.  His Words in the Bible say differently.  "Fads" come and go, Jesus isn't a "fad" with me...he's with me for life.  There's a line between humor and blasphemy.  Nothing blasphemous has been posted here.

Given certain criteria, fads can last hundreds to thousands of years. And it does not take a genius to know that merchanidising something sacred cheapens the message exponentially . The fact that so many people are supporting this and finding it cute makes me both smile and facepalm at the ridiculous hypocrisy and trendiness. Seems like you all forgot that christianity is supposed to show nonconformity to the world and not align itself with the mainstream media. But I'm sure you'll all find and butcher a few verses that'll make this all okay. The christian faith today is a practically a joke anyway nowadays. These types of fads just seem to be putting a few nails in the coffin. Might as well make a buck off of it.

I have a negative aspect of the people who preach their faith without even getting the basics down. Don't you get annoyed by people who support a political candidate but don't even know what their stances are on issues? It's practically the same idea I'm trying to get across here. Hey, oddly enough I'm not the one trashing christianity here. I'm just trashing the hypocrisy, ignorance, and the naivety that's blatantly obvious. The followers seem to be making a complete joke out of it.
