I have heard that winter in the north this year is terrible... tell us of your experience...

  to me am a fall guy but i can deal with the winter better than i can with the summer you can walk around out side and stay warm but no walk around in the summer and stay cool.

Compare to sweating hot summer, I do like winter better!! However, where I stay now snow toooooooooooooo much, so I guess I like none of them.

I do not like winter at all. I dislike the freezing temperatures. The increase in utility bills. I do not like the bad driving conditions. I do not like any extremes in temperatures. It would be great not to have to live in winter period.

I grew up in western NY where we had hard winters and the lake effect.  I didn't live in a snow belt, but my grandma and cousins did.  I remember visiting them, when I was a kid, and not being able to see the houses over the snow plow banks as we drove down the street.  They made the news again this last winter due to the heavy snow.

I liked playing in the snow when I was a kid, but hated waiting for the bus, in winter, when I was in high school.  Now my joints really don't like the cold and I'm quite glad to be living in central New Mexico where the winters are mild.

As a photographer I love winter scenery, especially the cool sight of snow covered cactus and yucca, but I don't even own a snow shovel.  Any snow we get is usually gone by mid day.
