I wouldnt recommend them personally, they usully provide lack luster service and obviously dont carry the same quality as other phones. Have you considered trying a plan that maximizes savings? Also, if AT&T doesnt suit your needs, try switching over to T-mobile, they usually have cheap plans.

I disagree with hiredshogun.  I haven't had a contract in eight years have been using prepaid phone service ever since and will never go back to a contract.   The quality and service is just as good and any other carrier.  I've had Virgin Mobile and Straight Talk and I would recommend either one.

I agree with dreamyxo. I use prepaid and I have no problem with quality or service. I use Reachout Wireless and just moved from IL to TN with it and it works just fine!!

I don't have a prepaid phone but have several friends that do and they say it is well worth the money.  I might look at that when my contract is up myself.

I used Tracfone for a long time because I bought a double-minute card. I just don't do a lot of talking on the phone. I still have probably 2000 minutes and a couple years' service remaining, but I got a free Blackberry from E-Trade.  My son works for AT&T so he's hooked me up on his family plan, so I'll be saying bye to Sprint.

I have my family on the walmart family mobile and we only pay $112.00 per month unlimited talk and text. We share a bucket of mb of data and if we run out we run out. we usually do not use over $25 per month.

well right now I'm using Verizon, but I use to have metroPCS and I really liked it... all I can say is to make sure they're not stealing from you, because some companies are just not worth paying for

I use straight-talk it is the best in my book. you can get unlimited for only $45 a month or for 1000 minutes and 1000 text and 1mb data it is only $30 a month. However they have to types of phones, they have ones that use the ATT towers and ones that use the Verizon towers. My husband I both use straight-talk but husband has the Verizon type phone and and i have the ATT type phone. And because where we live i get horrible reception and he gets good reception.

If you are over 65 and don't use your phone a whole lot Verizon has a senior plan.  I think it's 250 minutes for about $38 a month.  Of course if you talk to other Verizon phones those minutes don't count against the 250.  They seem to have the best coverage for me.

I've been happy with my $15 Net10 flip phone. I get unlimited everything for $50/month.

YES i highly recommend prepaid coz u can disconnect it ne time and have 3 months to turn it back on or add minutes before they give ur number away..but after 3 months u will have to buy another sim card so they can give u a different number.

I have a tracfone and it is quite handy.  I only have it so people can get hold of me when we're not at home so I use very few minutes.  I pay $5 a month to keep it active & will have to buy some minutes probably in a year or so.

We have Verizon, we have 4 phones. we have unlimited text and one has internet access. We pay about $165 a month, wife has a discount from her work. That cuts 22% from the bill also!
