Headaches? Do you guys take medicine?

WHen you guys have headaches do you always take medicine or just wait for it to go away? If you do take what do you take? I try to never take medicine ad just wait for it to heal probably two or three times a year I actually take medicine

Well i try to stay away from fried foods,caffine,etc.And less stress.

         Drink lots of water and take anti inflammatory over-the-counter pills...because pain pills along are not going to do the work.

usually i wait...try to drink some water and have a snack and just relax....I'll only take it when it becomes overwhelming and has been occuring for several hours

I always take aspirin/ibuprofen/something.  Can't stand headaches.

i never take anything for is I usually suffer a lot. sometime it will last two to three days. one time I was healed in my sleep and I woke up as if out of surgery. the headache faded as i woke.

hey i have been getting headaces to where there migranes and let me tell you something they are bad ive been hetting them for
thepast 4months and i end up going to the E.R thats bad huh well they sent me to outside DOC..and they gave me two things to try
AMITRIPTYLINE..AND....NORTRIPTYLINE  they worked for sometime but they say iam getting theses cause i might have a TUMOR,
behind my eye. yea soo what i take is tylnol pms when i get them.  it helps me out lots think about that one.

We do not take meds of any kind for any reason.

For headaches, drinking lots of good clean water may help if it's not a bio-mechanical or bio-chemical cause.

The only anti-inflammatory used here by us is systemic enzymes such as Vitalzym or a good quality serrapeptase equivalent.

For bio-mechanical, sometimes a chiropractic adjustment can help, but for difficult cases of migraines, NCR (Neurocranial Restructuring) has been known to rid of the problem.  AtlasProFilax can help, but I think NCR is better.

I have noticed some headache resolve themselves after a good gallbladder/liver flush.  Speaking of which, I just did last night.

Mostly depends on the type of headache.  If it's due to dehydration, I make sure I take in a steady stream of water - not too much too fast or it goes right through you (kind of like trying to pour water on a dry sponge) and be sure I rest/take it easy.

If it's stress related, I try to relax, and may drink a cup of coffee - let the bit of caffeine open up the blood vessels a bit to relieve the pressure.

If it's muscle tension, I use a heating pad and massage to try to relax the muscles.

Sometimes if I can't get the source headache to go away, it expands to a migraine (typically my tension headaches do this).  When the headaches start to get really bad, I'll try to take a nap and use a cold compress to try to reduce the inflammation.  If that doesn't do it, then I'll take an ibuprofin (Advil is my choice), and sleep.

I rarely need to take the medicine if I can help it, just once in a while if the headache keeps me from sleeping it off or I just can't stand the pain (start to get nauseous, etc).
