I wouldn't think of using anything but four squares of two-ply per wipe unless the job called for more (every once and awhile)!  I also set a price threshold of .025 per roll and will buy in big bulk when I get my intended price! .35 cents for double rolls is about right but I am never sure if I am getting my money's worth. Stores only seem to carry double rolls these days so there must be a larger profit margin!  Generic is fine but single ply is going to require more squares.

I just bought a huge package of my favorite tp at Target today.  It will take forever though to use up the stupid one-ply stuff I got.  I may alternate brands.

great value, heavy duty, soft and strong double rolls.  They are all 2 ply.  Anything less may mean an extra long handwash after leaving the bowl.

I prefer 2 ply.  I recently saw a 3-ply and decided to try it.  I still prefer 2-ply and went back :)

I have my favorite brand that I almost always buy.  It is a soft, 2-ply brand.  I must have had a very good coupon, as I ended up with a big package of 12 rolls of very thin, 1-ply paper.  It is like tissue paper.  Note to myself to never buy that brand again.
i like 2 ply i think it is thicker.

I can't believe would ever use 1 ply.  I realize it is more expensive for 2 ply but it does the job better and cleaner.  What is the rationale for using 1 ply?
