mustard vs ketchup

In my household, I have to buy both.  I buy classic yellow mustard for my family members, but I love honey mustard.  I have experimented with different brands of mustards for  years and found that honey mustard is milder than classic yellow mustard or spicy brown mustard.  I buy ketchup also for my family members.  I have eaten both, and I believe that mustard is healthier.  I lived in Chicago for nearly 28 years and got accustomed to eating mild sauce (a combination of ketchup and hot sauce).  Since then, I don't really care that much for ketchup.

like mustard more.  The rest of my household however
like ketchup.

    I have always been told that mustard is very healthy!! and good thing for me that I like mustard way more then ketchup anyway

Good question. Mustard is an herb. Ketchup is from tomatoes. I'd have to guess to say mustard.

I don't know which is healthier, but I love ketchup and would choose that over mustard anytime.

mustard is healthier than ketchup.but i like the taste of ketchup better.i do like mustard on hot dogs though

I don't know. I think it depends on the kind and the kind of ingredients used. (Like organic versus gmo.) Also, I think it probably depends on how much you use and how often. I don't use either one very often and when I do I don't use very much.

Depends if you get the healthy ketchup or not.  Regular ketchup has alot of sugar and sodium.

I would think ketchup is because of the lycopene, and especially if you buy organic.

mustard is healthier, ketchup has sugar in it and mustard is more natural

I think they are just about the same. But since there is more sugar in ketchup, mustard seems to be the healthier choice. Although you just can't have one without the other if you are having a hot dog.
