No, because I don't post very much on social media.  When I do post things, it isn't anything that would get me in trouble.

No, precisely because I know exactly who's reading things when I post somewhere like Facebook.

No, social media is a great way to bring families closer together. Sharing photos, stories and keeping in touch (via comments or chat) definitely make it worthwhile.

Have you ever gotten in trouble with family or friends because of something you posted on Twitter or Facebook? There is a new book out telling about people whose lives have been ruined because of something they posted. They lost their jobs or got death threats, or stuff like that.

Gotten in trouble?  No.  Made people mad for having my own opinions - Yes.  I deleted everything off my facebook page about a year ago.  I rarely post anything.  I have a handful of friends, mostly family, and only have the page to keep up with people who live far away.  No, I have never received a death threat.  That is a little far fetched although I know it happens.  Before I deleted everything off my page I am pretty sure someone who I "thought" was my friend and had talked to on facebook and had been friends with on the site cost me my job.  HE unfriended me and we no longer speak.  It's sad you can share pics that reflect your opinion on certain topics and it can keep you from getting a job or get you fired or cause people to want to hurt you.  Everyone has a right to their opinion.  It's funny if I don't agree with someone else I am called a hater but when they don't agree with me they are simply living their life or having their own opinion.  This world in particular this country is SO screwed up.

No because I don't use social media like that.  I have facebook and a twitter account but I never use them.  I don't let my personal business hang out like that.  I have a personal fb and I only have people on it I know in real life I don't have millions of "friends."  I can't even remember the last time I posted anything on it.

I have another fb account that I used to get referrals for my different sites.  I used twitter for that as well.  I also don't use my real name on any of the accounts so if you don't know me personally you will not be able to find me.

How do you use a facebook page for referrals on sites like this?  And not use your real name?  When you refer someone to this site it tells them your real name not just your name we see on here.  So unless you use a fake name on this site I don't understand how that works.  I am not being smart just asking a question.  I have thought about that myself.  But honestly I don't want everyone in the free world having my real name as far as referring them to sites like this.  People are too physco for that.

no i havent but i get on my kids all the time for this --i dont know why they dont understand that the world can see what you post --i have them delete things but it is all ready out there and someone somewhere probably screen shot it !!

You don't have to screen shot it.  All anybody has to do is like it or share it and then it is on their page.  There are people who just look for stuff they can save and use against you later. Sad huh.

No. I'm very careful about what I post. There are filters you can use for a status that you maybe don't want everyone to see, and I also do not maintain "friends" that are not my actual friends.

I am definitely very careful about things I post on social media, so no. People forget how public their comments are.

No, I have never gotten in trouble with Facebook or Twitter. I hardly ever go on Facebook anymore, I find it boring. Twitter I like.

I post very little about myself or others close to me on social media.  Occasionally, perhaps several times over 2-3 years, I have given my opinion on a political/social situation.  That's all.  I want my life private and respect others enough to keep their lives private also.
