At what age do you feel it is necessary to have that talk with your kids about where babies come from. I have learned over time 1 of the first questions kids ask concerning human nature is where do babies come from and better yet how did it get in her stomach. I have always struggled with this. I have a pregnant friend and my son keeps asking questions. I feel he is too young for the real story and I need a creative way to explain

How old is he?  You could always say God puts babies in mommies tummies...true ya know...when they get a little older...nothing wrong with telling them when a man & woman fall in love sometimes they want to have babies...you should always be truthful but age appropriate good luck

I think you should wait.  But usually they will know themself where they go school.  I see that kids this day know that stuff real fast from their friends and school.

How old is he?  If he is old enough to be asking questions then you need to answer him honestly.  If he is 5 then no you can't really explain to him about sex.  But if he is in school if YOU don't answer him he will get answers from school.  Either friends, teachers, or other adults or people he interacts with.  Do you want him to get the info from YOU or some other person?  Don't tell him something stupid or some cutesy something about the stork or cabbage leaves.  I wouldn't tell him "God puts the baby there" because that is going to confuse him.  God doesn't just put the baby there.  Two people do an action that causes the woman to get pregnant.  And just because a woman gets pregnant does not mean that is what God wanted to happen.

Jesus was the GREAT teacher and loved the children around him and He realized they needed to be taught truth too.

Of course every child will learn differently from others.Dont hold back.

I really think it depends on the age of the child.  Very young children can be told that God puts the baby in mommys tummy but older children shouldn't be told "fairy tales" because they will want the truth and if they don't get it from mom and dad they will find it another way.  But, of course, each person who is a parent must make that decision for themselves.  good luck

Once the girls are close to get their cycles I talk with them...tell it all, whatever they want to know~I want them to want to know the truth from me. The little ones, I don't remember having to explain it. Hmmm, God blesses you with it. It's made from love sometimes, (depending on the case) not sure....I think I'd say it's a miracle and that when they get older and can understand things better I'd tell them and usually that was good enough for them.

I never believed in lying to my kids. When they were old enough I did explain where babies come from. I remember I was in the dark for a long time as a child. That was what they did back then. They always lied.
