Non Rust Pans
« on: August 07, 2015, 07:36:14 pm »
I am not very happy that I have pans that want to rust. Anybody else have this problem. Looking for ways to fix them and keep them from doing it again. I bought a cleaner and hoping it works

You can scour rust off the pan with baking soda, and then coat it with oil to keep it from rusting again.

It drives me crazy too. I will have to try that baking soda tip.

Use stainless steel or cast iron pans.  They haven't rust yet.

Stainless steel pans are the best if you want pans that do not rust.

I have stainless pans but there are foods I would much rather cook in my cast iron pans. Mainly Grandpas . They have a special meaning to me. I can cook on the stove or in the oven with them. Only problem they are just so heavy.
