Recommended Halloween/Horror movies?

My favorite horror movie is Texas Chainsaw Massacre from 1974.  However, the best Halloween horror movie is the first Halloween.  I have no idea how many Halloween sequels there were, but none compare to the first.

The original Halloween film was my favorite growing up. You also can't beat Night of the Living Dead. For me, I can watch The Strangers on repeat (I particularly like home invasion horror movies), and Sinister. I've probably already watched over 10 horror films this month, haha, and it's not even as many as I wanted to see!

I like the horror genre

Best movie for Halloween would be Nightmare before Christmas, love it.  Not horror, but Halloween theme.

I used to like Halloween 3, where they had masks that turned the wearer into bugs, or bugs came out of the masks.  lol
Now I'll have to find that one & watch it.

Oh, I thought of more suggestions! Carnival of Souls (black and white from the '60s and now a cult classic); The Haunting of Julia, and a brilliantly chilling one, The Innocents.

We watch Hocus Pocus every year, that movie just cracks us all up.

I don't really like horror films, but I like The Shining and the Scream movies.

I don't especially love the horror genre, but I do love more lighthearted Halloween movies. Beetlejuice, Sweeney Todd, etc.

I recently went to see happy death day. at first I thought they were having issues with the film but then I realized it was just part of the movie

I love all of the Child's Play movies.  There's something creepy about a childs toy that will kill you lol
