Movie theatre

Do you still go to the movie theatre or do you watch movies at home?

I have not been to the movies in a few years. I am thinking about going soon, if I do go, I will go on a Saturday, early morning.

I haven't been to the movie theater in years,  the prices are outrageous, I'd rather watch one at home either on Netflix, a DVD or rent one On-Demand.  8) 8)

For the past several years I have been watching all movies at home either on DVD or streaming them from Amazon Prime Video. But I think it is totally worth it in terms of fun to go to a movie theater and eat popcorn while you watch a movie on a big screen. I think I will make a point of doing that at least a couple times in 2019.

I like to go to movies sometimes. No commercials and no way you can catch up on household chores or answer your phone.  :P

If you go on certain days in many areas, you can still get a good price of admission.  8)

And I often will pay full price for Christian movies in order to support them.  :angel11:

I still go to movie theaters at least once a month as long as there are good movies out. I usually catch a movie at ten in the morning on Sundays because the cost is only five dollars. I will go out to a movie with my wife at one of the old Gatsby-era theaters once every six weeks or so and catch movies that are not in the main stream theaters-usually the Oscar contenders or movies with sub titles. I like being able to watch a movie without commercials and only the occasional cough from an audience member. It is kind of like a one hundred and thirty minute vacation for me where I  do not have to look at a computer screen or answer my phone. I watch a movies on my phone but it just  isn't the same thing looking at a really small screen with my reading glasses on.

It has been a while since I have seen a movie in a Theater.  Just have not seen any movie that catches my interest that much to pay that much to see.  It's pretty sad when the snacks you buy at the theater are more than the movie tickets themselves.

Sometimes.  We have a theater that has a low price for all movies at all times.  Everything is the same price all the time. So they do well.  They make their money off the $9 drinks and $12 popcorn.

I find that it isn't worth the money to see movies in a physical movie theater. Tickets cost too much, especially since the discounted theater in my hometown closed. If I really want to see the movie, I just wait until I can rent it for cheap from Redbox or Family Video. However, if I love a movie franchise and want to help make sure they keep making them, I will consider going to the new release in theater.

I never go unless it's at a discount theater. I haven't seen a movie in years that was actually worth $14 or whatever it is now not to mention I don't like the theater experience. Does it have to be so ear bleedingly loud? Sticky floors, kids kicking seats... no thanks I'd rather watch on TV.

I watch movies at home. Theaters have become too expensive.

We used to have a second run movie theater that was $5.00 a person but closed and turned into an Artvan....movies were 6 moths old but at least you didn't have to take out bank loan to see a movie....two people with pop/popcorn and movie would be $20.

Now it cost $15 per person just to get in!  :o
