Have you ever felt bad about quitting a job even though you know it is for the best? You have prepared in advance to quit because it is something you thought about for months, you are overqualified for the current job, but you still feel kind of bad about the fact that you are quitting.

Sure I've felt that way, but it's far superior to being fired from your job. That always hurts.  :(

dont feeel bad as change is good plus you need to be paid what youre worth. Quitting is a challenge cause if thngs go bad you need to go back to previous employer. is best to leave on good terms. You still have to pass 90 day probation.

I have definitely felt bad about leaving a job, though not as important, for a new job.

I have felt bad, but I always make sure the office was left so the next person can pick right up.

I recently quit my job that I had for 20 years. I just couldn't handle the lack of ethics and accountability there. Management was not good. I became a totally different person when I was there and started to hate the way I acted. I have them a 4 month notice but took 5 months to find a replacement. I wanted to make sure I had one month to train my replacement. Unfortunately, I am now having a problem with finding another job. I had a hard time looking for other work when I wasn't sure when I would have a replacement for my position.

Nope- you need to do what is best for you. You shouldn't feel bad for moving on with your life.

Yes, I understand especially if you are very close to your coworkers

No, Though I quit cause one of the project managers disrespect one of my family members that I was working with, So I stood up to him and it ended up with an argument after that the boss came out to apologize to my family member and me but by then I had no interest in working in the same place with that scum. Funny thing is after few months a buddy I made that work at the same place told me he was fired for disrespecting people again. So.......  :)

Hello!

Yes, there was one job that was good to me but it was just so little money. When I found out a new job with better pay was opening up I left and never looked back. Nonetheless, I did feel bad the way I left it. I don't think it is a matter of feeling bad or not. Why should you feel bad about getting a better job for yourself? I'm here in New York and it's pretty expansive so if you can get one good job and not three why should you feel guilty about that? Always look out for your own best interest as no one else will.
