It is kind of funny, yet sad, to read through comments from a month ago when people were still comparing CoVid to a common flu, that it was not spreading like every one was saying and that we were silly to believe there was a huge need for concern. I wonder what their thoughts are now that the world death count is at three hundred, sixty four thousand seven hundred and eighteen deaths with one hundred and four thousand, one hundred and thirty five of those deaths in the United States alone. Seventeen percent of the cases that are closed have resulted in death. With over nine hundred thousand active/unclosed cases we are looking at potentially one hundred and fifty three thousand more deaths even if we do not get any new cases which are still coming in at around eighteen thousand per day. I have no need to fly in a plane, where compartment air is circulated, so I will choose to skip flying at this time.

I am going to wait at least three to six months before normal airline operations resume. I barely made it to my graduation in Florida (in which I needed to fly) before the COVID-19 pandemic overtook the United States. It was a very scary experience.

I haven't flown since before 9/11.  There is no reason and will never be a reason for me to ever fly again.

Whether there is a virus or not, there is no need for me to step foot into a plane again.

I have never flown on a plane.  Have never wanted to so and now is definitely is not the time for anyone to fly.  As a matter of fact, have they said that it is okay to fly now?

Their thoughts are the same.  The numbers are inflated and the media lies.  People who work in hospitals will tell you that any person that dies if they can write it as cov they do.  The hospitals get big bucks for each cov death they have.  I actually think more people are waking up and seeing it as fear monger than was before.  Nobody in my town stays home.  People are every where doing every thing.  We have no cases.  We had a handful and funny but nobody ever knew anybody who actually was sick.  And it has been over 2 weeks since they even said we had a positive case.  And all the cases we did have are recovered.

I never had any desire to fly but 9-11 pretty much fixed it til I would not even consider getting on a plane.  It's a long ways to the ground. :D

Well I don't fly so there is that and I sure would not fly at this time or travel anywhere - it was bad enough but now people are using George Floyd as an excuse to go crazy and loot.

No - I rather not fly by plane! If you are on the plane, & someone coughs - th gems will fly throughout the plane! I don't want to get sick especially COVID 19 it spreads like wild fire!  :confused1:

You do realize people can cough for a million reasons - right? Just because some one coughs does not mean they have covid19.  I do not believe this spreads like they are saying. IF it did then when one person in a house hold full blown had it the rest of the house hold would also get it.  Most times they do not.  There was a factory sort of close to me where a couple of people tested positive.  Every body flipped and I recon the tested the entire factory. NO ONE else but those 2 were positive. People need to start actually looking at facts and researching on their own instead of just believing the things the media spoon feeds them.

It is kind of sad because I fear no one can cough or sneeze in public again without every one around them freaking out and thinking now I have covid19. smh

You're so right, countrygirl12. I was in the grocery store the other day and had to cough and/or sneeze. Can't recall which one now. But I felt so guilty, I ducked down an aisle and did it as inconspicuously as possible. Then I checked to see if anyone was looking at me or filming me to pin a bum rap on me.

As far as flying on an airplane is concerned, I'm flying this week to go to one of my grandkid's wedding. I'm not worried about it except if they make me wear a mask for the entire flight. :P

I am ready to fly and heard from a colleague that planes are pretty empty now as well as airports, making it safer than many public spaces we go to nowadays.

Your friend should be OK in a rental car and on a rented motorcycle, but it's the flying part that bothers me. I wouldn't fly unnecessarily now at all. It is just too cramped in a plane to expect social distancing to be taking place.
