My husband looked into solar one time and then got calls for months afterwards. They were relentless. He ignored some of the calls, and the ones he answered; told them to take him off the list. Ugh. Our realtor (when we were looking at houses) told us that it is really not a good investment at all.

The solar system is quite a good investment in the power supply and this kind of project is installed at the commercial level for energy supply. You can check this article for more information if you are planning to install this solar system.

Check before you sign to install, your state or Utility company may have rebates or tax credits like this one in mine.

Quote:

does offer a tax credit that can be used on top of the federal solar tax credit. The state solar tax credit is equal to 25% of system costs, or $1,000 - whichever is lower. Most solar systems will get the full $1,000.

To choose the right service, you need to use reviews and recommendations, this is true

We have had solar for 3 years now (In September).  We received a lot of different rebates from Federal, State and local.  A lot of these rebates have expired.  They did cover us also putting on a new roof.  The payment for the solar will be done in 18 more months and it is less than our power bill had been.  The local power company owes us money just about every month for selling our excess power to them.   It has been a great advantage to us and has added a lot ion value to our home.  In our area a lot of newer laws have passed that new builds must have solar and other energy saving things put in or on homes.

I got my solar from Trinity Solar which works out quite well. They still give out $1000 to new customers. If you need a referral for the agent that I work with which provides great customer service, please let me know.

Definitely check tax credits. When my wife and I got solar between state and federal we got nearly $10,000 in non-refundable tax credits. We claimed most of it the year we got the panels and then claimed the rest the year after. I will admit that we had to use most of the tax credits to pay down on the panels but they gave an offer that if we could get the panels paid down enough within the first 3 years that we could get a lower interest rate and lower monthly payment. Though we kept our payment the same so that we can pay off the panels faster.
