I have heard that for a long time. Maybe it's true or not. who knows. They don't only eat doughnuts. I have seen them go for breakfast and eat things other than a doughnut.

I agree with the cops are people too and a lot of people love doughnuts, but there's also the fact that policeman have 24 days and doughnuts are an easy food for the wee hours of the morning - most bakeries open at around 5am and the doughnuts are fresh and extra yummy then

I don't think the cops-doughnuts ratio is any higher or less than, say, the truck drivers-doughnuts ratio. It's just because they are out and about all day. Wouldn't you want a doughnut and some coffee if you had to ride around all day in a squad car? Or should they take brown paper bags with PB&J sandwiches?

There is a town about an hour from here where the cops bought a doughnut shop because it was going out of business. they call it cops and doughnuts so i guess most cops really do like doughnuts.
