Off-Topic / Working through Grad school?

I'm in grad school now, on my last year. In order to fulfill my full-time internship requirement I had to quit my job this year. I so miss having that regular flow of cash! Anybody else going through this or had this experience in the past?

Are there certain movies you like to watch regardless of how many times you've seen them before?

What movies are you addicted to?


I'm a huge Johnny Depp fan so I'll watch the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory over and over. I also never tire of Jim Carrey movies, like Dumb and Dumber and Liar Liar. I definitely re-watch the X-Men movies when they're on tv too.

Where are your parents and/or grandparents from originally? If from somewhere other than where you grew up, have you ever been to your "homeland(s)"?

My father is Puerto Rican (US-born) and my mother is Haitian (Haiti-born), I was born and raised in the US but I've been to both Puerto Rico and Haiti. I'm curious to learn about peoples' cultural roots...

Do you gossip about others?
If you hear someone talking about someone who isn't around, do you ignore it, gossip too, and/or tell the person being gossiped about what you heard?

People gossip at my job all the time. I think it's pretty rude for people to talk behind others' backs, though it can be entertaining to listen to at times. I don't join in, but I don't spread the gossip either.
Just curious what other people do with gossip...
