Off-Topic / I need prayers or good vibes! Having a string of bad luck! (LONG)
« on: January 14, 2017, 11:41:12 pm »Message ID: 1117175
I am in need of prayers or good vibes, whatever you got!!

The last few days have been a pain in the backside. It all started Wednesday. My cat Timon, decided to sleep with me. He put his head on mine. Then while he was snoozing away and I started to, he started chirping, in his sleep! I was so shocked by it, I reached over to him to check and he jerked awake. I must have scared him. It got me a bit worried he might be getting sick. He kept me up, cause I was listening to him breath after that and he acted like he wanted to leave, so I put him on the floor thinking he would go in with my parents. He laid down instead and looked at me like I had hurt his feelings! Mind you, he is VERY expressive! After a little pep talk, he went in with them for a while, but later he came back. I kept listening to him again so hardly any sleep that night.

Then, Thursday, we go to sleep again. Timon was laying behind me, facing our hallway. Out of nowhere, he starts hissing! I was looking where he was and there was nothing there! He started then staring at the ceiling and hissing. I'm freaking out, then he start whining and crying like he was hurt. I finally manage to get him to calm down, but he doesn't want to stay in with me. SO I was up most of that night.

I care for my dad as he cannot get up and down a lot. Friday, he thought he might have to go to the hospital, so I was cleaning, ended up hurting my back. He didn't go because he didn't want to and he figured they would not be able to help him with his problem anyway. I also had to go get part of our groceries after I got hurt. Not a happy camper then. Again, Timon had some issues, he decided he wanted to play with the other cats, who did not and was constantly picking on them, all night.

After that, yesterday, I was awoken at 4 something this morning by a neighbor playing very loud music. So, I had to call the cops to take care of it. I was in no mood for that having not gotten any sleep for 2 nights already. They finally turned it way down after that. I hate using our resources for such a thing, but I do not know our neighbors since they keep moving out of here so frequently! It also bothers me that there is really no way to tell where it is coming from unless you are outside. I live in county, so going out at that time, at night, not a good idea. That was primarily why I called it in, plus noise ordinances exist where I live, so there was that. I got about 3 hours of sleep after this.

Later that day, I was in my room as I was still not feeling well from my back and other female issues. My mom went to go do something outside and Timon, one of our 5 cats, decided to go outside. I dashed out in my sandals and went straight to the back, where they normally go to hide out! He played his game of coming where I could see him, then vanishing under again. We have big bricks stacked under our trailer, but there are gaps from them being moved and not put back. Timon decided to roll and I managed to get him, however, he was BEHIND the bricks, so I cut up my arm on it. I have a big bruise near the crease of my elbow. I hurt my knee, arm, back and side getting him. All of about 20 minutes. Plus the stuff I was in, I'm allergic to! So I started also having sinus trouble.

On top of all that, I still had to go pick up some items, which I didn't get everything yet, and I came home only to find my mom didn't take care of the buckets. Our roof leaks, hence why I am on here trying to make a little money to try getting it all fixed. So, we get a slight downpour, and I have to go bail buckets, which aggravates everything that is already hurting.

SO with that said, it's 12:38 AM Sunday. I'm hurting and tried to sleep, but when it's leaking in your room, it doesn't always go that way! I did try to sleep, but Timon got into an argument with his brother a while ago and it just kept me up! I'm running on empty! I have had probably about 8 hours of sleep, not all in a row mind you, in 4 days!

Any prayers, good vibes or what ever you got, would be appreciated!! I need all I can get!

Off-Topic / Doll Collecting
« on: December 30, 2016, 01:43:50 pm »Message ID: 1113682
I have always had a large Barbie collection, but I have been looking around for other dolls to add to my collection and also to make clothing for.
I also look at some of the off brands too, because even they have limited doll clothing for everything. I really want to put together a fairly complete list of dolls so I can add as I get money to get them!
I have a Monster High, Sparkle Medium sized and Large Sized, Disney Princess, and of course 2 different Barbies (one is my mom's).
I know that Monster High, Ever After High and one of the other dolls are the same size, except for the larger ones. Then there are Blythe, which I would love to have one!! They are so cute! And a few other companies.
Then there are a number of 18" dolls like American Girl that are out there.
I've been trying to get a more completed list for some of the different dolls that are out there, but there are not a lot of people who want to help out.
So, if you know of any other doll brands, please let me know.

Off-Topic / Special holiday traditions
« on: December 10, 2016, 06:34:47 pm »Message ID: 1110369
I was just wondering if anyone has any special holiday traditions.

With my family, we used to put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. It was not long after that, we would start wrapping gifts, baking cookies and making candy for family and friends.
Now, we can't have a tree, our cats would wreck it! They broke my mom's small light up one last year.
We can't have any decorations that are shiny, the cats would rip them down.
Someone has to keep an eye on them where we keep the presents, they like to tear them open and act like it is theirs to do so with! They have no cares and when you try to take it from them, they give you this really super sad face!
I barely bake anymore due to health reasons, but I still try. I'm actually way behind on what I had planned on making!

So, in short, the tradition in our house now has gone from all the decorating, to keeping an eye on the bad boys! LOL! The girls may get involved as well, if we had stuff they wanted to play with! LOL!

Off-Topic / 403 errors?!
« on: November 27, 2016, 07:22:43 pm »Message ID: 1107064
I am very confused. Like many others here, I'm on Mintvine as well. But tonight, I cannot access the site it comes up with a 403 error forbidden. Is anyone else having issues getting to this site? It's happening when I try to log in.
Also, if you know anything about these errors, do you know how to fix it?
The reason I find it strange is because I was on yesterday and even had several emails from them today, that I deleted not knowing there was an issue. My Firefox updated yesterday, but I tried it and IE and it is happening on both.
I thought I would ask here because I have no way of contacting them to find out what is happening. I hope it gets cleared up soon! They has a glitch in the system a week or so ago.

Off-Topic / Pokemon Sun O.o
« on: November 22, 2016, 08:26:27 pm »Message ID: 1106186
I know there are a few gamers here. LOL!

My mom got me the newest Pokemon Sun game for an early Christmas present. I started playing and I can tell now, this game is going to take a few months for me to beat, only because I am already getting frustrated with it! LOL!
I will play for about an hour, and feel like it's work. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the new Pokemon and I especially love the cute Little Fire Cat, Litten. (Yes, I knew as soon as they released the previews I was getting it first!! :D)

The first problem I was having, was getting used to the controls. They always move stuff around in the new games. It will take a few tries before I get it going!!

So I was wondering, of those who are playing the game, have you run into any issues so far with the new game play?

Off-Topic / Wached old cartoons
« on: November 14, 2016, 04:04:26 am »Message ID: 1104854
I watched old school G.I. Joe and watching Transformers right now. I just realized it sounds like Cobra commander and Starscream are voiced by the same person!
LOL! That would not surprise me since I watch a lot of anime and cartoons anyway. There is a ton of overlap with voices in the anime world! I mean it's not that hard to notice if you aren't actually watching! Like I can't listen to Lab Rats when the one lady is on, because she IS Naruto!! LOL!!
It gets pretty bad too for me when I realize an actor I have heard before is doing animated stuff now! And I usually can only pick it up on animated stuff! Though yesterday, I did watch an episode of Law and Order and saw Robin Lord Taylor and knew it was him right away! Silly Penguin getting caught on that show too! :P

Off-Topic / Just saw a new GPS product for dogs
« on: November 14, 2016, 03:58:20 am »Message ID: 1104852
I saw an ad on tv for Whistle.com where it has a GPS tracker for dogs. I have looked before to get a few for my cats, but not a lot of places make them and they are expensive!
Anyway, they said they were having a sale on them so I thought I would share the info. I live in an are where a lot can happen to a dog. So I thought there might be someone on here that could use it!

Support / FC Survey: Recruit For An Online Chat
« on: October 28, 2016, 02:15:56 pm »Message ID: 1101256
SO I did this one that takes a few weeks to credit. I did everything that was asked of my. I got an e-mail asking for another response. So I went to it to reply. Then I got another email telling me that it would take 4-6 weeks to review my responses. I accidentally went into the other e-mail, and somehow hit the link. Now it says I was disqualified and only got 1 cent! I really think this is a problem because there was a lot of time and effort put into it, only to have an accident disqualify me?!
Has anyone ELSE have had this happen before? I'm filling a help ticket right now.

Off-Topic / Tablet?
« on: October 25, 2016, 10:04:46 pm »Message ID: 1100799
I am looking to replace my dad's Trio tablet, that was a replacement for the one we had gotten him last year. I thought I would ask here. I would like to get him either a tablet or laptop that has a good battery, a decent size screen and is easy to use. He liked his old one OK for reading online or looking stuff up, but his fingers are a bit big for the one I got him.
So I am asking about what other people have.

Which device do you have?
What are some things you like about your device?
What are some things you don't like about it?
About how much did you pay for it?
What is the battery life like?
For those that have a Kindle or NOOK, can it go online to read websites, or are they just for books?
What about iPads?

Off-Topic / Sewing a zipper?
« on: October 23, 2016, 10:25:15 am »Message ID: 1100332
I was wondering, I'm going to make a body pillow for my mom here soon and of all the things on it, the zipper part is what confuses me the most!
I have seen videos, read magazines and blogs, and I still am unsure HOW to go about adding it!! Some say add it first and get it out of the way, making sure the zipper is open of course, others say do it last.
The zipper I bought is a breakaway one, so I know that I have to secure it so it won't come apart.
I have to get this done soon so I am asking for advice on HOW I should start. I haven't even cut the material yet!! My materials are a soft fluffy one and a cotton one. I also am unsure what kind of needle I should use since the fluffy material is a bit thick.
So the questions I have are: 1. Where should I put the zipper, side or bottom? 2. What needle should I use? 3. Any other tips?
Any help would be appreciated!! I asked in one of my FB groups this about 2 months ago, and everyone basically said good luck with that! offering no help at all. I saw there are some people who sew here and thought I would ask.

Off-Topic / Just saw the new Nintendo Device!!
« on: October 21, 2016, 09:17:08 am »Message ID: 1100023
:in-love: I absolutely LOVE the new Nintendo device that is coming out in March 2017!! I told my dad I wanted it and could wait for a Christmas/Birthday present till then! LOL! He asked me how many hundreds of dollars it would cost. I said it probably will run around $400 maybe $500.
We were talking, and he said if this works the way it's supposed to, Microsoft and Sony are going to have to up their game!! He said everyone has been saying Nintendo was on it's way out, which is also what I have seen! Now, I don't think they are. They usually make sure their devices and games WORK, without patches and whatnot, BEFORE they release it.
So I am excited to get into gaming with this device!! I haven't had a new one since I got my DS a few years ago!!
