If I need fresh air, I just step out on the deck and leave the windows closed.

Don't claim it was my favorite, but the most vivid was hanging out behind the Gym smoking cigarettes and pitching pennies.

Support / Re: Forum earnings banner not showing up. Is this happening to other people?

I remember that the last time I tried to change mine, I had the same problem, it disappeared. Forum members told me that the trick was NOT to click on the "save" button, so I didn't and it worked! I don't understand why, but maybe that's what happened with yours?

May be.  I may go back and try that. But if I do not save it then it will not change my color from green to something more lively.  I just wanted something diff for a while.  I had another color a while back and seems like it randomly changed back to green which is the default color.  I may go try this after while.
It will change it without clicking Save, just do it and see.

Since my TV doubles as the monitor for my desktop computer I always use 4K to see the text better.

I have two, a 55 inch in the living room and a 42 inch in my computer room that doubles as a monitor for my desktop computer. If I need a break I can flip over to Netflix since it is a smart tv.

I very easily reached the 5 cent minimum today through Tap Research. It was nice since I had a more difficult time yesterday. I am always glad when I reach the minimum quickly. I hope others are able to meet the minimum quickly too.
That is only one of several ways to meet the minimum.
I reached mine with Tasks today

I have never seen games available on here. Maybe that is something that might be available in the future. It is always nice to have new offers available.
I have never seen a game that paid enough to waste my time doing, when I can get paid to DQ for surveys here.
The few sites that still have games you'll make very little but it would be nice if FC added it just to make our 5 cents.
So make a game out of getting DQ'd for Tap Research surveys

I am old enough that technology has passed me!  But I do agree that we would be isolated without it.  It is my only connection with my kids and their families.
Just curious how old that would be?

I turn 81 in less than two weeks and take full advantage of it every day.

Offers / Re: ONGOING PROMOTION: Forum Participation Bonus - $3 per month!
« on: Today at 09:01:27 am »Message ID: 1285346
I understand that you have to post 30 times in a month to get the $3.00 at end of the month but what I haven't seen is do you post daily or can you post 3-4 times on 1 day and maybe 1 time another day and then maybe skip a day... I'm reading it as 30 posts but doesn't matter if it's daily posts.
All that matters is that your total for the calendar month is equal to or greater than 30 contributory posts, so it is wise to have a few extras just in case some do not qualify.

I would love to travel, but the thing is I am single right now and I am a little tired of traveling alone at least by car. If I can afford to travel by bus, plane or train, I am gone.
Just a thought, but what if you could find a friend in the same situation that you could split the cost of travel with?

I just spent 17 days on a trip through Canada to Alaska for some fishing and my phone was off the grid 95% of the time, with no lasting effect. I did have some time at my son's house in Anchorage without Internet, but I could go down to Barnes and Noble to use their Wii-Fi to run Google Hangout with my Google Voice number to call home for free.

We love to travel so much, we invested in a timeshare with resorts all over the world and have loved it.

As a sidenote, for my birthday in August we are traveling to a brand new waterfront resort in Portland, Oregon that is 15 minutes from our house ;D

You don't need to go a long way to make it fun.

Off-Topic / Re: MyVegas Rewards
« on: Yesterday at 08:24:10 am »Message ID: 1285194
Facebook has a game you can play for free where you earn rewards that can be used in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The game is called MyVegas and there are actually 2 games that can be played on a desktop/laptop and 3 games that can be played on a smartphone.

The way it works is like this:

You play the games for free and use can use the credits for rewards like comped rooms, comped buffets, shows and free play if you want to gamble in certain casinos.

The rewards can be used at casinos like Excalibur, The Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, New York New York and The Mirage.

It's not unusual for me to rent a car and drive down to Vegas to redeem some of my credits and have a little mini vacation.  Las Vegas is only a 3 hour drive from where I live.

Do you play the MyVegas games?  Have you ever taken a vacation to Vegas?
We went to Vegas last February, but it cost us $100 to fly there. We were going to the Mirage for a breakfast buffet and a timeshare head hunter started talking to us to get us to take a presentation (much like playing a game) and we got $175 in free upper class meals, free tickets to a couple of shows and some other freebies to make our time well spent. These guys are not hard to find.

Oh I almost forgot, while we were talking we told him maybe later after we had breakfast and he handed us a $20 bill if we would come back and see him when we were done. High risk for him, but it worked.
