Off-Topic / Re: Opinion about peanut butter products that tested positive with salmonella
« on: February 27, 2009, 01:33:01 pm »Message ID: 40630
I agree! It is their responsibility to test their products, and then make sure only the safe stuff is sold to consumers!!

I saw peanut butter and had to open this, because today I tried the Smackers Natural Peanut Butter....and all I can say is that is so so so very yummy!!!! Everyone should eat that stuff....It's $2.95 a jar at my local Hy-Vee...

About the salmonella peanut butter, I think that this was only the peanut butter and cheese crackers peanut butter, but I am not completely sure....Once I heard about it, I banned all pb until today...I couldn't go any longer without...my kids love the stuff...but it will be a long time before I buy the cheese and PB crackers...

I don't think this is allowed...I got banned for awhile when I asked a similar question...or posted a link or something...sorry!! You could use google to find similar sites though...although Fusion Cash pays the most from my experience!!!

Off-Topic / Re: Would you do it for the children?

Yes, most definitely...in fact I am thinking of fighting for my baby cousin...she's in a terrible situation between her dad, mom, and mom's mom [[grandmother]] and it seems none of them actually care what she is going through, or who tosses her around...she's already been abandoned by her mother once, and she's 5 it's absolutely ridiculous!!!
So since none of the other members of my family are willing to interrupt their lives, and step up to the plate I have been praying about it....and if that is what God calls me to do I am all for it!!!

I am 22 and I think it's pretty sad that the members of my family are so selfish, but I love my baby cousin and she would be better off here anyway!!

So very funny, I sure am thankful that my grandmother has no credit cards....some businesses just make no sense at all!!! we can't live forever...and we don't exactly know when we will die...and when we are on our death bed canceling our credit cards doesn't come to mind, I'm sure...well I'm guessing....A death certificate should be required and then they should just delete the account!!!

lol...banks...

lol I'm surprised maury is still on the air!! I got tired of it, I'll watch an episode every now and then just for laughs but i dont make it an effort to watch. And you'd be surprised what teenagers nowadays do to have fun. Making pacts to have babies before they graduate 8th grade!! They go out drinking with 5 or 6 guys alone and blame a guy for taking advantage of them because they were drunk!!! Im a female and i know how MOST guys are. A majority of them are just out for one thing whether your drunk or not. Most of have common sense and those who dont let their kids do whatever they want and then blame everyone else for their problems. People need to open their eyes and realize they need to be role models for their children NOT friends.
I agree completely!!!!!!! Parents need to be role models and teach their children how to behave correctly...instead of being so accepting to whatever teenagers want to do, even those that think they are punishing their children...they need to open their eyes....
I don't think that teenagers should be allowed to be on birth control though because that's basically saying "okay go ahead and have sex, there won't be any consequences...just use a condom...." because teenagers, and younger, are not ready to experience that [[sex]] yet...I mean they are not mentally ready to even begin to handle the feelings that come along with that! I think instead parents need to be completely open with their children, tell them exactly what the consequences of underage premarital sex are and could be....such as telling and showing them STD's letting them know that they [[the parents]] will not be supportive, nor support a child should they become pregnant....and then set permanent consequences on premarital sex....it's our job as parents to protect our children, and help them and teach them good decision making skills...
I have already started teaching my daughter about her body and the privacy that her body deserves...we have books that are geared toward younger ages....such as a book for 3-5 year olds, 6-8 year olds, 9-12, 13-18....of course since my daughter is only five there isn't a whole lot of mention of what people actually do together it's mostly teaching the body parts and the differences between a boy and a girl....as well as introducing that a mommy and a daddy love eachother and make a baby....It is a christian series, because we believe in God....
I believe it should be something that my children are fully aware about, and also fully aware of what God expects and what we [[the parents]] expect...mistakes are okay but this is not something to take lightly!!!

In my opinion....working at a movie theater would be cool...you would get to view movies for free!!! Babysitting would also be a good after school job....as well as Wal-Mart...although Wal-Mart may be a little difficult....because of the hours....

If anyone has watched Maury lately...then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about....can there really be that many people who have absolutely no clue who their baby's daddy is? I mean where are the morals today? Is it really that bad...women have stopped caring about who they spread their legs to....

Off-Topic / Re: DISCUSSION:HOW HAS THE ECONOMY AFFECTED YOUR HOUSEHOLD AND YOU?
« on: February 20, 2009, 03:04:18 pm »Message ID: 39590
I know this will sound strange...but it hasn't really affected me all that much..I mean the prices of everything goes up...which sucks..and my family members are losing their jobs...being laid off...as well as my friends...and my heart as well as my prayers go out to them....We have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams because my husband has a stable steady job....however I know that if the economy isn't fixed sometime soon that could change. For now we rely on God's greatness and His promise of "ask and you shall receive." and continue to pray everyday that we can continue to live the way we do...
I should probably mention that we have always been very frugal with our money...we don't shop often...we buy only what's absolutely necessary...we try to save money by smart grocery shopping...as well as energy efficient everything....so because I was already practicing all of these money saving habits I think that is another reason that we haven't entirely felt the economy drop...because really nothing has changed for us....
I will be praying for all of you that are having hard times....it breaks my heart....I'm sorry to hear of such sadness, anxiety, and worry....
Just remember to have Faith and ask God for everything you need....Trust in His Word!

Off-Topic / Re: Do you get much junk mail to your house?

No I don't get a whole lot of paper junk mail from the sites that I've signed up with and I use more than FC but I have 4 different e-mail addresses for my 4 different sites and they are completely full every day...around 2500 e-mails....that's the reason that I also have a personal e-mail account so I don't end up deleting something that I should have kept...

Off-Topic / Re: Anyone else here wonder how much money FushionCash is making off of us???
« on: February 20, 2009, 02:52:01 pm »Message ID: 39587
I can personally say that I am in affiliate marketing and you don't really make that much...I suppose FC probably makes more because they actually have targeted traffic and are paying for clicks....however do you understand how much work goes into running a site like this!! I would much rather be doing what I do for FC instead of running FC I don't have that much time!! lol....
I think if you aren't happy with FC then you shouldn't be a member...and I think this discussion is getting a little heated...so I am not going to quote anyone or reply to anything just wanted to add this information that I have personally learned....by the way FC can't possibly be making that much more than they are paying us...if you think about how much something costs...like Netflix....$5.00/month...do you think Netflix is going to pay too much more than that for one lead? especially when they know where the click is coming from and they know there is a greater chance that the person signing up is only signing up for the credit!!

Of course!! lol...everyone needs more income...especially the way the economy is at the moment!! I am a stay at home mom so we live off of my husband's income...and we live fairly comfortably...but I would like to be able to make a little more just so that I can either help out with the bills and relieve some of my husband's stress or go shopping!! ... of course!!

Is this deal for real?  Seems a little farfetched to me....
Yes Fusion Cash is definitely "for real" all the people that have their signature banners that say they have recieved money actually have!! I am one of those!! Also I think that you do get paid for posting in this part of the forum...I think the only requirements are that you are actually contributing to the conversations...or making relevent comments as someone said you aren't just posting to post... If I am wrong I hope someone says so that way we all know exactly where we are supposed to be working and where we are just having fun!!

Off-Topic / Re: What do you think of telemarkters?
« on: February 20, 2009, 02:38:01 pm »Message ID: 39583
I have been a telemarketer, and knowing the way I feel about telemarketers I limited my rebuttals to the very minimum...you can tell when you have a person who is actually interested or doesn't give a hoot what you have to say....
The other part is that I dislike the telemarketing business entirely...I think that it should be illegal!!!! I mean it is a form of harrassment....Plus the "do not call list" is a load...it doesn't work...they still continue to call you no matter how many times you tell them not to!! They even call me at 9 and 10 at night, which is completely ridiculous...I have had to silence my ringer because I have two small children trying to sleep at that time! I think if they are going to do it they at least need to do it at reasonable times...say 12-5 or something!! That way they aren't waking anyone!! And I think that the caller ID should say telemarketer every time one calls!! I mean there are some that say it, but I think they all should!

Off-Topic / Re: daycares
« on: February 20, 2009, 02:32:51 pm »Message ID: 39581
Your baby is the most important thing!! Most definitely...I am a stay at home mom and it's something that I don't regret not one ounce..but if you feel like you just need to get out there you could work when your significant other is home....if you absolutely have to use a daycare facility I would go visit the daycare at least twice and have extensive talks with the person who you are trusting your child with. Go on a busy day and make sure the person is able to handle the children well. Also ask to see if the home or facility is child-proofed...ask to see what your baby would be fed...ask to see the license of the daycare provider, and any other credentials...the main rule is do not leave your child anywhere you don't feel she will be safe. If you are not comfortable with someone that's your mommy intuition red flagging and you need to choose a different place.
In my opinion the best thing for your child is to be with her mommy...but I do realize not everyone can be a stay at home parent. You have to do what is best for your family.
