I guess you think the moral fiber of our Nation is on firm ground today? Let's leave the Bible out of it and just think about how sex is pedaled to the masses through mainstream media, movies, music, etc. Of teen pregnancy, promiscuity, etc.

Ironically, it is the religious stance of abstinence only that produces a large number of teen pregnancies.  Also, the less religious a country is, the better off it is in the areas you listed, and both of these statements are fact (America is a highly religious country, in case you forgot).

Not to be the nit picker here but where in the world did you get the statistics or proof that abstinence produces teen pregnancies? Come on, your smarter than that.

As far as the moral fiber of our Nation today and 50 years ago, is like night and day. America is nothing of the Christian country as she was, and we are losing the blessings of God because of it. However, people are realizing this and coming back to the basics and foundations of the Bible.

When people ask me if I can keep a secret I always say 'no'. I do not want to slip up and say anything that the person would be upset about.

This is one of the most truthful responses on here.

Oh, my response is stupid, bull, and Jesus babble, and yours is perfectly logical, and reasonable?

It may not have been "perfectly" logical and reasonable however, QoN's reply was demonstrably more reasonable and logical than your unreasoned and illogical 'opinion' was.  This observation was made by reading the recent exchanges in this thread, discerning which aspects were logical and reasonable, (no matter who wrote them), and then posting the rational conclusion.

Good luck with your delusional stance that your all that.  ::)

Ironically, your mirror reflects only your image and not your projections.

Wait a minute, aren't you leaving something out here that should be brought to light?  Your observation and stance is biased considering your responses of your total unbelief of the Bible in another thread earlier today. Did you just follow me in here from the other thread to negatively respond to me again because I'm a Christian?

Why is qon's response more reasonable and logical than mine? Why is mine unreasonable and illogical according to you? I'll tell you why.....because neither one of you believe in God or His Word which teaches us to keep ourselves pure before marriage.

I guess you think the moral fiber of our Nation is on firm ground today? Let's leave the Bible out of it and just think about how sex is pedaled to the masses through mainstream media, movies, music, etc. Of teen pregnancy, promiscuity, etc. Where did sexually transmitted diseases come from? I guess I could go on and on but some things are just common sense.

Ah, no wonder she is doing a hasty hit-and-run retreat from D+D.  Although I haven't observed what you have regarding her pronouncements, the opportunity presented itself to convert her odd definition into a more accurate one.

It's kind of a long story, but most of the 'veteran' users here know of her (literally) evil ways and she wasted a lot of time with praising and promoting witchcraft, exhaggerating claims of others (who had to come back into the thread and set the story straight), lying left and right, causing verbal fights when met with basic skepticism of her claims, etc etc.
I know we're supposed to be respectful of other users on this forum, but if you were there when it happened, you probably wouldn't even be posting back to her due to the wretched and adamantly-arrogant behavior. Furthest from a decent voice for Christianity.  :angry7:

If you are unwilling to discuss or debate your convictions, perhaps you fear that they cannot withstand reasoned dispute.

Case in point. Don't tap the rabid dog even if you have a +3 sword.

The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his Lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his Lord. If they have called the master of the house (Jesus) Beelzebub (a devil), how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed, and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

It's nice and sunny out my bay windows, but going outside there is a cold breeze blowing and really too cold to go for my walk. I did about a mile and had to get back inside. I was bundled up in fleece from head to toe, but my face was exposed to the wind and was just getting to be a chunk of ice. Tried to stay in the sun, but the wind just got colder and colder. We had a thunderstorm last night with rain, thunder and lightening. I love to watch the lightening.

I'm not doing a hasty hit and run in D&D. I left D&D voluntarily sometime ago by choice. I do not get into discussions anymore where there is no end to debate between Christians and non believers who have once been believers and now are haters and blasphemers of God. We are to turn from such.

You announced you were not staying. Apparently, you stayed long enough to post this excuse for not having the courage of your convictions. Stay or go, your choice. (Btw, this is "D+D" - not to be confused with Dungeons & Dragons D&D ... although I can see some similarities).

I'm a Minister of the Gospel and do believe everything in the Bible including healing by Christ today. I have witnessed it numerous times over.

I find your unsupported claim to have "witnessed" "healing by christ" to be dubious.

falcon9: You did NOT turn my definition into a more accurate one even though you want to appear all knowing in your response.

I provided the accurate translation of a latin word, (Lucifer).  You provided some vague nonsense about a "cherub" mentioned in a specious source.

You are clearly trying to refute the Bible and it's accuracy and your unbelief comes through loud and clear.

Well, at least you have a grasp of the bluntly obvious.  You are correct in that I don't believe one word from your fictional source.

Real soon now all things will be revealed and I can hardly wait!

Really?  This isn't going to be another 'doomday prophesy', is it?  When, exactly, is yours predicted to be?

All you have to do is check the history in D&D to know I have the courage of my convictions. However, I do not discuss or debate with unbelievers or those who do not believe the Word of God. I will witness to someone who is hungry or searching but have no time for those who want only to blaspheme God and take any opportunity to put down Christians or their beliefs of which they count sport.

I'm not a doomsday prophet but anyone can see that our world is in trouble and things are about to get worse. Nobody knows the day or the hour, but believers are not ignorant of the signs manifested in the days we are living and the correlation of Biblical prophesy. The unbelievers will scoff until that time takes them unaware and then it's too late.

Since you do not believe the Bible, anything I post would be moot, so have a nice evening..........I'm out.

appears in the bible does denote significance, for example the tetragrammation appears more then any other name or title and a part of it is even in the phrase Hallelujah. Also for awhile followers of Christ used the term "the way" instead of Christian. For that reason I don't see the need for the word Christian to be stressed. Following Christ on the other hand should be stressed however and it is nice that they received the title "christians" by divine providence as Acts 11:26 points out(feel a bit like a jerk...) however it's still not used a lot especially compared to say resurrection which occurs 68 times, that's all i'm saying.

Also more about the belief that SOME hindu circles believe Jesus was Krishna(I don't believe this btw)

http://hinduism.about.com/od/lordkrishna/a/christ_krishna.htm

P.S. Contrary to my own belief on the word, Jehovah's Witnesses do teach that they are Christians and associate the true religion with christianity, they just believe everything else Christian is the same or similiar to the religious leaders of Jesus day.

I remember "The Way" being popular around the 70's and 80's. It was taken from that scripture:  "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me".  JOHN 14:6  I even remember some Bibles being published around that time with "THE WAY" on the covers instead of the word "Bible".

Some churches have their own names for their followers like: Mormons, Presbyterians, Lutherans, etc. I'm Pentecostal, or some have called us Holy Rollers, Tongue Talkers, Jesus Jumpers, etc. I don't really care, as long as my Heavenly Father knows my name and calls me His own. That's what is important.

Like I said, the word "Christian" in the Bible did not come into play until after the resurrection and the birth of the church. However the Bible refers to Christians as also: the redeemed, saved, royal priesthood, heirs to Salvation, heirs of Christ, the sanctified, the blood washed, the forgiven, and many other titles that refer to believers.

I've done extensive study on how premarital sex fragments the psyche and personality of any individual as it is done without the blessings of God and the sacrament of marriage (it's sin....fornication). The sexual act is a spiritual act and things get passed during that "act". It must be blessed and condoned by God to be the fulfilling and bonding that He provided for it to be. People who engage in it outside the bonds of marriage and the blessings of God do themselves harm in ways they don't understand (mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc).

This is bull.  Having sex exclusively in a Christian marriage provides no guarantees, or better success rate for that matter.  Plenty of married Christians are plagued by sexless marriages, infidelity, degrading sexual acts, etc.

It takes a lot of work I'm sure to help us make those extra dollars and I appreciate all that you do. I've made almost $500 on this site in about a 1.5 years. That's not small change, but big bucks to me!

Wow! There Sure Is  Alot Of Kid Haters Here ,I Certainly Hope My Children Or Grandchildren Never Run Into You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa!!!!  Nobody brought up the word "hate" except you so back it down a notch. Our society now uses the word "hate" to target people with a label that is demeaning.....like bully or hate crimes. All we are talking about is ill mannered children and the parents that enable them to be that way. Nobody likes misbehaved kids. I raised my son to have manners and he still does. He was not allowed to run around the store or throw a fit without me addressing it when he was a child.

I have three grandsons and they are raised the same way by my son who is now grown with his own family. Etiquette and manners are essential to teach children at an early age. You have a small window to instill these attributes. We have a generation+ of kids nowadays that have no respect or manners as they have had no discipline growing up. I blame the parents for this. I also blame parents for rebuking authority figures like teachers, etc., when they try to correct their child. They are teaching their child that they don't have to listen to anyone, and can be as rebellious as they want to be.....and they are!

Parents today are too lazy to teach their kids basic manners and respect for elders or authority figures. These kids naturally grow up thinking the world owes them and they become burdens on society or worse. If you are taking this as sensitive as you seem to be then I guess the shoe fits. If you throw a stone into a pack of dogs, the only one who yelps is the one hit.

Upscale restaurants are now banning children because nobody wants to hear screaming crying kids, or kids running around while you are out having a $50+ meal on a special occasion. I believe they are on the right track. There are other business's that are adopting this stance also. Who is to blame? The parents!! Why should everybody have to put up with unruly obnoxious kids because the parents are too lazy to do their jobs as parents?

Girls, save yourself for that man you are going to marry. There's something very special giving that gift to the one you love on your wedding day. As old fashioned as it sounds, there is a blessing in it.

Sex isn't a "gift".   :confused1:  And asking anyone to abstain from it until marriage is unreasonable and unnecessary on many counts.  The better way to live is to aim to only have protected sex in committed relationships.

Since I'm a Minister and know the scriptures and you are an atheist and don't believe in God or the Bible then we are going to be in disagreement in everything qon.......like we have been ever since I became a member of Fusion Cash.

I was 15 and regret it.  Not a good experience or memory. I wish I would've waited.
My pastor did a sermon series recently on the Songs and I wish I would've heard it as a teenager.
I pray my boys don't fall into this adult, married experience before their time.  Sex has too much influence and power in our society.
It is meant to be cherished between husband and wife in the sanctity of marriage.  Media plays such a big part in the illusion that
one needs to be sexual.  Not true!

Your regret is actually repentance and God can make a wrong and turn it right. I perceive your heart is tender. God loves a repentant and contrite heart as you have. God bless you richly. He loves us so much.

I'm a Minister and confidentiality is key. People tell me things that I will take to my grave. The only way I would reveal anything told me in counseling is if it concerned hurting or abusing a child, murder, etc. However, say you robbed a bank and told me about it. I could not, nor would not, reveal that information.....ever. They could pull out my fingernails, and I wouldn't tell. Lawyers are the same way. It's protected conversation.

I just had my 50th birthday on Halloween, my husband bought us a cruise to the Carribean during that time, so I won't be cooking this year or having to clean up. I am soo excited!

Yay!!  Good for you. Be prepared to never want to cook another Thanksgiving dinner again!! Have a blast!! Those cruises feed you until you can't eat anymore 24/7. You can have just about anything in the world food wise. Call for hot chocolate (extra large) with extra whipped cream or vanilla ice cream to add to it around midnight before bed. YUM!!
