Debate & Discuss / Re: Sandra Fluke Testimony

<<<<SIGH>>> :BangHead:Sounds like the 50's all over again. The attack on women's health issues is ridiculous--and serves to divert attention from the real issues that need to be addressed. Poverty, unemployment, homelessness and yes, all the money that buys candidates for the highest office in the land. Let's not forget the saber rattlers either drumming up another war...

Thank You! I've never had an issue but it is nice to know that whatever it might be, they're on top of it.

This is a sad but oft-repeated story. I blame our society as much as the 'parents'. Everything is disposable. We have lost our moral compass and some never had one. The victims are always the defenseless children.

It's a shame he has to leave the Colts this way--he is one of  the best QB's to ever play the game. That being said, I think it is time he considers retirement because of his health problems. It is not worth risking permanent injury or paralysis to play the game. It is a sad parting but I am sure he has all kinds of opportunities outside of playing football. He is already a legend; I would hate to see him go down the road as Brett Favre did.

I do like Netflix. I don't watch cable programming as I find it inane. I love documentaries and movies so Netflix is good. I recently got Roku and fell in love. It's a little box about the size of a hockey puck that streams wirelessly over the internet to your TV. There is so much programming available I got rid of my satellite service. I also get MLB.TV baseball programming at a lot less than satellite charges.

Product testing is a lot of fun and I do a lot of it. Not only is the product free but the payments are nice too. I've done pet food, beauty products, household products and frozen foods. Not only that but I have found many products that I continue to use after testing.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Goverment

First of all, it is  goverNment and secondly I think it does matter who is president in some ways. Even though they are all beholden to big money, corporations and the military industrial interests, do you really want a Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush in the office?

Though this has turned into a brewhahah by the likes of politicians and Limbaugh's diatribe the bottom line is should women's contraceptives be any less available through insurance than *bleep*? After all with all the old farts out there on *bleep* women need contraceptives.

It seems as though the older I get, the faster time passes. I remember as a kid endless days.

I don't want to see this pipeline built.Advocates in favor of building it cite employment opportunity; these will only be temporary jobs--once it is built, they're gone. They also cite our own homegrown oil. The truth is that the oil is for export not internal use. Why do you think it ends at a major harbor? The effect on our environment will be enormous.

You know what?? Until we max out our use of solar and wind power to generate our fuel needs nothing like this should even be considered! This of course, won't happen because of all the oil interests in the world who only think of profit and not the good of the earth.

Suggestions / Re: ABOUT HOW MANY DAYS DOES IT TAKE YOU TO GET $25 ????
« on: March 01, 2012, 08:32:00 am »Message ID: 498078
I only do the daily email and 15c daily click, then the forum so it usually takes 30- 45 days to get to $25. I have cashed out 3 or 4 times since joining. Surveys are a big help when you qualify. I recently got credit for some shopping I did on line--this is new and since I shop a lot online it will hopefully help me get to $25 sooner.

I refuse to do any Samplicious survey and have personally come to the conclusion that it is a sham as far as surveys go.

Heavy rain here in PA. We have had very little snow here this year--or winter temps for that matter. I wouldn't mind one good blizzard before spring.

kapec 12 gave one of the best descriptions of the grieving process I have ever seen, he nailed it and his advice to let it happen is excellent. You can't fight grief, you have to live it.
I lost a life long friend two years ago--it was very sudden. He was a musician and I am finally able to work with some of his musician friends for a tribute event this summer. We have laughed and shared so much and is good to be out of grieving hell.
