Off-Topic / How long do you have to lie awake before you can go to sleep?
« on: March 07, 2013, 10:43:04 am »Message ID: 700500
For the most part I don't have too much trouble falling asleep. I used to be pretty good, I would just lay down for a few minutes and I was out. There are some days, however, that I have trouble falling asleep, although those days are far in between. Some times excitement or anxiety may play a role about having a hard time falling asleep, specially if you have to get up early and/or you have a big or very important event the next day.

Off-Topic / Re: carribean or alaska
« on: March 06, 2013, 09:52:02 am »Message ID: 699857
I'd love both, but I will certainly choose Alaska first, and the very next time I'd go to the Caribbean. Alaska would be my first choice, because although I love warm weather, I pretty much experience it in a daily basis, so I would be something I'm not so used to, and I like the idea of everything Alaska has to offer. Having said that, I do agree with the fact that cruises spend too much time on port and there isn't enough time to have a real look of the places. But I'd say you kinda get that with all cruises, so you know what you're getting. If you go thinking of the time spend on the cruise and plan having a great time on board, and having glimpses of the places you're traveling by or visiting, then you would absolutely enjoy it. If you are thinking about the sense of discovery and getting to know the places and cultures, cruises will not provide that experience and you're better off flying and staying.

Off-Topic / Re: how long do you spend time on the internet
« on: March 05, 2013, 10:20:51 am »Message ID: 699242
I don't think I spend a set amount of time daily on the internet, but I sure spend an awful lot of time on it everyday, you can easily get lost in it. If I had to give out a number, I'd say on average, I spend from 3-5 hours a day at my desktop PC accessing the interwebz, lol. This is of course, excluding mobile internet, that I mostly use when I'm on the go. I guess ya'll can count in me.

Off-Topic / Re: St. Patricks Day
« on: March 05, 2013, 10:13:46 am »Message ID: 699236
I might go out with buddies to a bar and have a few drinks, maybe a club and party all night, who knows what's gonna happen, all I know is that the plan is to have fun; oh, and wear something green. I do not know if that qualifies as celebrating St. Patricks Day, or is just an excuse to go out. You decide. Maybe it does qualifies as celebrating, although and I would agree with this, it is not proper celebration.

Off-Topic / Re: clothes to keep warm

I would say it depends on how cold it is, and where I am. If it's lightly cold, then a sweatshirt will do; if it's cold enough, then a sweater or hoodie and all of these choices would be indoors. Outdoors, I would start with a hoodie and climb up to thicker layers. I'd add that if at home, I might even go for a snuggie, lol, however, that is very unlikely.

Off-Topic / Re: Cadbury eggs season!

Cadbury ogirinals are the way to go!! Although I've tried and would be ok having some other types, original creme filled eggs are my favorites. Just to get into the spirit, I'd also have some Snickers and some Reeses eggs to along with my Cadbury treat. :D

I remember the show, it was one of my favorites, I still record it in the DVDR but seldom watch it, I think ABC Family still broadcasts it, but sort of late, like a midnight run o nearby hours. I agree with ShadeTree on the trio, some of the most memorable moments where those shared by Ryan, Colin and Wayne. One of my favorite games was Props.

Off-Topic / Re: What are small things people do in public that annoy you?
« on: March 01, 2013, 11:27:27 am »Message ID: 696630
People on the phone while doing other activities, not fully paying attention to the secondary activity because they are distracted by the phone. Specially when they are paying for something and they take forever because they have to ask several times, how much is it, look in their purse/wallet/pocket for the money or card while taking on the phone, just put the person on the other side on hold for a minute and finish the transaction, then pick up where you left off for goodness sake.

Off-Topic / Re: ONLINE CLASSES OR CAMPUS
« on: March 01, 2013, 11:21:05 am »Message ID: 696621
You are your best judge. I know It's hard for me to self-motivate me for things that do not naturally interest me. Some subjects might interest me to the point that it would be easy for me to self-motivate me and go at it nicely, but some other subjects would be so hard, and I'll get easily distracted with anything and everything. Therefore, I know campus will keep me better motivated in all subjects, interesting or not, than online classes. You should do some self-evaluation, and conclude based on what you feel will be best according to how you think you will do in either situation.

Off-Topic / Re: do you do your own taxes
« on: February 12, 2013, 11:02:04 am »Message ID: 687208
I actually do my own as well. Although I feel some tax preparation companies, usually overcharge people, I don't feel it's too much; they are professionals and they have to charge for their services accordingly, after having to earn their education and credentials, and you know they will probably do a good and reliable job. Maybe not great, but good. There are some people, however, that overcharges and they don't even have the credentials, nor the experience. It's very ambiguous because some people without credentials sometimes know more than those who have them. So it's a trial and error, you try someone and if it works and you are satisfied then you might stick to that person. That person could be yourself. I find I don't have a complicated return, it's pretty much wages and that's it. So I only require a simple easy standard form, that I can do on my own. For very complicated returns, that need complex procedures, I'd probably look for a professional.

Off-Topic / Re: do you eat snacks
« on: February 12, 2013, 10:35:24 am »Message ID: 687201
I'm not much of a snacker, but sometimes I do. When I do, I usually eat nuts, or chips, or candies, or popcorn, or cereal bars. Now that I think about it, I could pretty much eat anything that crosses my way, but only if I'm snacking, which isn't very often.

Off-Topic / Re: Anybody can function with one meal a day?
« on: February 12, 2013, 10:33:29 am »Message ID: 687200
I couldn't do it, there has been times where I could do one meal and some snack, but next day I'm hungry and need to eat something. I guess if I slowly started eating less and less, there would be a point where I'd get used to it, and would be perfectly fine with one meal a day. If today, I would start doing one meal a day, having lived all my life with 3 meals a day, I wouldn't be able to function normally. Maybe a sporadic day here and there, but consecutive days, no way. I'd also be worried about not getting enough nutrition, unless that single meal would be coupled together with some supplements or something.

Off-Topic / Re: do you like moving
« on: February 12, 2013, 10:29:31 am »Message ID: 687199
I wouldn't mind moving if it was to a better place and if it was for the best, specially if I didn't have to do anything. However, if "I" had to do partially or all the work, I'm sure I wouldn't like it, since it's a pita, even if it was for the best, and even if change is good, lol.

-The "I'm not saying I did kill "x", but if I did, this is how I would have done it" thread.
-How regular are your bowel movements?
-STD'S: Your Stories
-CAUGHT thieving in Iran, Which hand would you have chopped off?
-Post your favorite bank accounts numbers!
-Which would you rather have, schizophrenia or cancer?
