Even though I think it is a terrific idea, how is it safe? I'm not sure that they offer it in my area.

I used it once. It wasn't a bad experience. I do understand how it can be sketchy at times though.

I haven't used it...thought about working for them for a bit of side $ but ultimately decided it wasn't worth it....I don't like taxis at all (way overpriced) so Uber seems like a great alternative...I wish the process here in the USA was more like what it is in Jordan, where you BARTER for the price...I loved it - my group and I received 40-45 min rides for the equivalent of $10....
