I've been selling items since the beginning of the but have run into many bogus buyers. Why would anyone waste their time bidding on an item they really didn't want?  I also got a bogus check from a scamer for $6,000.00. I enjoy buying but have had some hard times selling.

As a buyer, one should be able to find ALOT of deals on Ebay.  There's ALOT of sellers that just don't know what they are doing.  I've won auctions for 1 cent and free shipping.  For some reason alot of sellers don't understand "free shipping" in their listing means THEY will have to pay to ship  ::) (it's true, see Ebays community center forum).  They also  don't realize store fees/listing fees/final value fees/PayPal fees and if they decide to issue a partial refund because they just want to be nice (yes, this has happened to me a few times, I never asked for a refund & never expected one so was really surprised when I got one...for silly reasons like "we were going to put this on sale but you bought it before we could so we are refunding the extra"...) PayPal charges a small fee for refunds too.   On the "flip" side---many Sellers don't know what they are selling either.  I went to grab a quick book based on the photo of the book a Seller had listed, but I noticed the date for the publishing of the book wasn't right.  I asked the Seller.  Seems they didn't have a picture of the book they actually had so they used one from Amazon that they thought was the "right" book, and their book didn't have a cover on it...something they didn't mention in their listing...and they had this book listed in LIKE NEW condition!)  Buy from a reputable Ebay seller...it'll save ALOT of grief!
The book damage really gets to me.  On Amazon, people list everything as "new" or "like new" even if it's worn, damaged, and dirty.

I have an ebay account.  I started selling things around the house we no longer needed when I had to quit my job cause i had no one to watch my son.  I found out you can sell anything and make some money,  Its amazing what people use and what they collect.  It is what makes our world so interesting.

So is it worth it?  I have 6 kids - so I have TONS of clothes and toys I could sell.  My Aunt also makes things out of wood and paints them.
They are really nice.  But I don't want to lose out  because of shipping fees or other fees.... I guess I'll just have to give it a shot.   ::)

with flat-rate boxes, if the item fits, it ships !

I use the $4.95 for quite a few things and it really pays off

there are others sizes and amounts to cover bigger items

There is a $10 box, that you could fit a dead body in lol

I'm pretty sure shipping a dead body is against ebay's TOS...

I'm pretty sure shipping a dead body is against ebay's TOS...

I wouldn't think it isn't against ebays TOS to ship it unlsess papal's shipping methods/labels are used and to sell it probably isn't because it could be sold as a cadavre.

Now the USPS or UPS or whatever may have special restrictions by the phrase, "are there any hazardous, dangerous etc". It seems that hazardous, and dangerous etc could be very vague and need defined in legal documents.

Makes ya wonder  ???

I have been selling & buying for the last 8 yrs now & love it! Yeah a lot of the NEW ebay rules stink but I try to bypass their annoying fees & rules because I make the majority of my money with them & have loyal customers that I do not want to lose! YES I could open my own website & even design it myself but I truly do not have the extra time nor money to do it. My husband & I sell EVERYTHING from model trucks to their parts, home items once in a great while & YES coupons! People go mad for baby item coupons! It's unreal! My husband has fun listing the items, while I have fun keeping track of the sold items, shipping them & keeping the money!  ;D

I just started to sell stuff on Ebay.  Don't quite have a success story yet.  Must not be listing the right stuff the right way or I am too new for people to trust.  I sold a recipe that i made 20 cents on....and the lady thought she was buying the bowl I showed the in the picture.  She was fine with it but it taught me good lesson.  Well, I will keep trying.
