Well, some of the sports are easy, like the objective ones like races and stuff. But for ice skating or other subjective grading? Yeah, it must be tough, but I suppose that's their job and they get paid a lot to do it, so don't feel too badly for them. :p

judging the olympics is like judging a debate - you must have knowledge on the subject and the people involved - otherwise it is a personality game or a guessing game - i've seen people win at the olympics over the years that won only because there was an agreement between the judges - you vote for my country - i'll vote for yours - sad - some feel they must win at any cost

The great thing about hockey is that the game is decided by the scoreboard...and the fact that WE WON!!!!

We got the most medals, sure, but before you go patting yourself on the back remember that we have close to 305 million people in this country. Compare that to Germany, who received the second most medals, at 55 million. Also, Canada only has like 30-something million people, but they won more golds than any other country and ranked third in full medal standings.

So yeah, we did great, but I'd hardly say we "won overall". That's not what the Olympics are about anyways.

Team USA being one goal away in ot from a gold medal doesn't mean they suck. I think you meant to say HAHAHAHA Russia sucks at hockey

Yeah I doubt he even watched the game. He's probably going by that ol' tired adage that USA sucks at hockey, and while they used to, that certainly can't be said with any degree of intelligence anymore.

I don't understand how they score the events either but the events are wonderful.  It always amazes me at the athletism these people have.  I am an avid cyclist so watching the Olympics of Biking... Tour de France...is incredible.  I wish I could be as strong and talented as they are.

Kudos to all that compete on those levels.
