i use coupons so thanks for the info.  It is great to go into the store, and then they ring up 100, but after they take the coupons it becomes 80, that makes me happpy .

I follow hip2save's blog.  And I don't take my husband with me when I shop.  He has no patience, and drives me nuts!

 You can save a lot more money if you would quit using coupons (unless its for a Free item) and purchase the store brand. Most are made by the major brands anyway. You are only paying for the packaging cause it is more appealing.

Don't forget coupons.com and smartsource.com,  I live off of those sites.

The Krazy Coupon Lady is another good web site, just google it.  5reasons2save is not keeping hers updated lately so I had to look for others.

This is not always true.  With a sale and a coupon many times the national brand becomes a better price when compared to the store brand.  Some store brands are made by companies that make national brands, but I would not say that it is most.  I almost never buy store brands, as they are not the same quality.  Some are getting better, but many times I can really tell the difference between the two.

Another couponing tip I have learned.  If you shop at Target, you can use a Target coupon and a Manufacturers coupon on the same item.  So that 2 discounts on one item which is how I get a lot of my free items at that store.  I believe you can also load coupons to some of your grocery store cards (such as Randalls/Safeway/Krogers) and then use a Manufacturers coupon at the cash register....Again, a double discount on one item and more free or close to free items.

Coupons can be a wonderful thing, in fact, I just got home from the grocery store...spent $58.29, saved with coupons $46.35.  I remember once I went to Petsmart and only bought things I had coupons for....my bill came to $159.59, after coupons (most for free items) my bill was $11.70.  Felt like I had stole from them...what a high!!!
