Bullying in schools
« on: April 10, 2010, 09:58:51 am »
Have you heard about the most recent suicides caused by bullies in school and in neighborhoods?  Its terrible, I was bullied as a young person in school and believe me it does change and affect you life forever.  What do you think?

It's pathetic.  When I was a kid none of that crap would be tolerated.  Unfortunately society as a whole has become so desensitized to many things that years ago we would never find as acceptable.  It's a shame and until something is done about it, it will only get worse.

I think alot of this starts from home kids are missing something from their parents, so they go to school and take it out on who ever there. I know this is not always true sometimes parents  don't even notice changes in their kids until it's to late, Just try to give love and time to your kids every-time you can.

yea it sux.. so does a lot of other stuff like the kids that can't stand bullies anymore so they take guns to school and shoot everybody down. then after graduation some of the kids being bullied go into the workplace and start bullying people or they turn into the old hags that have to complain about everything even if there's nothing to complain about. it's a never ending cycle so do something about it if ya don't like it that much.

It is sad. I was bullied and admin would do nothing! But i was scared to retaliate for fear of being expelled.  Now, as an adult I regret not kicking A$$!!!!

It is very sad and I can't help but wonder why there wasn't someone, anyone that these kids felt comfortable not only talking to but thought could help. Unfortunately, how many more incidences like this will have to happen before all schools take bullying seriously. Times have changed and not always for the better.

One of my friends had to drop out of high school to avoid violent bullies.  Her mom tried hard to get her into a safe environment, but the school staff wouldn't do anything.  Some of the worst "bullies" come from parents who are violent and nasty as well.
