In no way is that crafting a God. The essence of a Christian God is that he recognizes that we sin, since the say the forbidden apple was eaten. He gave his sons life for our sins, recognizing that AS HUMANS we will sin. I don't understand how you, an atheist, can preach to a Christian about their own God?
Uh...you obviously didn't read what I quoted from that person very closley:
"Jesus/God are forgiving" ==> Incorrect use of the word "are" because Jesus and god are one-in-the-same. This shows that this person doesn't really know much about Christianity.
"He or whom ever you beleive in" ==> Demonstrates that this person thinks that as long as a person believes in SOME god, they're good.
"should recognize we are humans and we make mistakes" ==> Earlier this person claimed they don't think disbelief is a guaranteed hell sentence, even though it's the "one unforgivable sin".
So correction to you: that person is NOT a Christian. They are a mushy, "I believe there's a higher power but I don't have to do much to prove it" kind of person. They may have some details of Christianity tangled in there because that is the main form of brainwashing in this country.
And I 100% have the credentials for being able to talk about this religion - I lived it.
God forbid someone makes a grammatical error. Of course making a grammatical error means they don't understand their religion. And within Christianity there are different forms of belief, some people choose to refer to Jesus as son of God therefore are would be appropriate, others refer to Jesus and God being one and is would be appropriate.
And I don't need YOU to correct ME, especially since you are sitting here explaining to me what someone ELSE posted instead of responding to what I posted. I responded directly to you in your post about a cult and you respond with telling me why someone else isn't a good enough Christian for you, forgive me if I miss the relevance.
And living this religion doesn't give you the authority to preach to a Christian about what their God is, especially if you don't believe in him.
