I'm not sure if women are necessarily smarter than men, but I can tell you for sure that their brains are more functional in certain areas and they can multitask better than men.

How do I know this?  I did (and am still nationally certified in) Nuclear Medicine for about 20 years.  Part of the nuc med career field is doing Positron Emission Tomography, aka "PET" scanning.  PET involves injecting a short-lived radioactive isotope into a person's blood stream and then imaging the body part you are trying to diagnose (or treat).  When PET scanning the brain, you can actually see a person's brain "light up" as he or she is thinking.  PET studies have proved that, while men are basically able to concentrate on one thing at a time, women are able to use two parts of their brain to think about two things at the same time.  This allows women to multitask much more efficiently than men.

However, if you equate smartness to cleverness, then maybe men have the advantage.  You see, after learning about the results of the PET scanning, I realized I had the perfect excuse to ignore my girlfriend while I was watching TV...after all, I can only concentrate on one thing at a time!

As far as the question of which sex is stronger, I think I'll plead the 5th.  After I retired from the Air Force a couple years ago, I kinda let myself go and am in pretty sad shape.  I'm thinking most women could kick my watoosie right now.  :)

I think "perception" would play a huge role in even coming CLOSE to answering this question!!! Who gets to DETERMINE what "smart" actually IS...?? I'd agree that while women may have the POTENTIAL to utilize the brain in ways a man cannot.... you still would have to CONSIDER the "information" that's being PROCESSED through said brain rite...?? Then perhaps the environmental elements involved may make a difference also!!! For exmpl: In an actual "football game" an ATHLETE of 7 yrs may be considered more "smarter" or "stronger" than a THERAPIST of 30 yrs!!! Mike Tyson was at 1 time.... considered a "strong" boxer due to his ability to "knock out" a man in 1 or 2 hits..... but how was his ability to TAKE those hits himself...??

Women naturally have a high threshold for pain.... I know I wouldn't wan't to even IMAGINE giving birth..... ESPECIALLY considering WHERE the child would have to come out!!! lol!!!   ;D

Depends on your definition of smarter and stronger. Men and women have different strengths in different skills. Emotionally, yes women are stronger. Physcially, I believe men are stronger. Again, in different areas men and women are smarter.

Women are smarter then men, but are not stronger. The reason to that is that men have more muscles and women are more body fat. Hence women can get drunk faster then men. Yes it is women that deliver babies but can women really left more things then men??

Depends on the woman and the man.

Some women could be smarter and stronger than some men, and vice versa.
If you were to give examples, like: Is Kate Hudson smarter and stronger than Mike Tyson,
I'd have to say yes and no. She's definitely not stronger than him, but I'm betting she has a higher IQ. lol

Now, take me for example, I'm smarter and stronger than all men. It comes naturally. I was born with it, what can I say.  :P  Deal with it.  ;D
That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.

I agree, it depends on the man and the woman.  In general, though I have to say women are smarter and stronger then men.  There's no way my husband is giving birth without drugs.

I think mostly it depends on the individual. I can think of instances where men act stupidly and women don't and vice versa. It's a very subjective argument though.

That may be true about your husband, and I would agree even I said that men are stronger but if you have to take drugs to "give birth" that part is for men then there is no way in hell that they would go through what I went through after a motocycle accident. I was hurting so bad that I could barely walk and drive, it was my right ankle. It took me a month to see a doctor even then I wouldn't use a wheel chair and the pain was unbearible.
