Do you screen your phone calls?

It is easier to do it on my land line than on my cell phone.  With caller I.D. you can pretty much see who is calling.  If I don't recognize the number or the name or don't want to talk to someone, I won't answer the phone.  I get a lot of charity calls and don't answer most of them.  If it is an 800 number, I don't answer.  I am on the "do not call" list, but still get some solicitation.

I screen them very badly, I hate calls for solicitors, collectors and I have one from soe sort of Medicine seller they have been calling for the past 2 years, "Your prescription is ready Mam", I do not take any prescription medicine, I have talk to them, insulted them, got really nasty, asked for the supervisor and even threat them since my numbers in on the Do no call list, but they keep on calling, they use different numbers even Unkown caller, since the callers are Hindus, as soon as I hear their accent i just hank up on them, if they do not take the hint to bad for them.  My girls will not even pick the phone up if they do not know the actual number.

How do you screen phone calls on your cell phone?

I don't have a land line. I screen my cell phone calls the best I can with my caller ID. But that doesn't work unless the number is already saved in your system. So, what I do is if I get unwanted calls I will save that number and mark it as "DON'T ANSWER", that way if it is a solicitor that continues to call or a bill collector, I just don't answer. Needless to say I have a lot of numbers in my phone book.

I can say I do screen my calls. If the call is important enough, they will leave a message or will try to call again. I really don't like saying no to offers but sometimes I don't like the approach that is to selling something.

You can bet that I scream my calls.  I get my share of weird numbers on my cell such as: 00000, private number, and etc.  Therefore, I make a judgement as to whether I will answer a call or not.  On top of that, when a number looks authentic, I occasionally get calls from a mysterious caller or some prankster.

Exactly what I want too so I screen my phone all the time to avoid the unnecessary embarrassment and waste of time.

Yes, I screen my calls.  With 3 young children I screen to get things done around the house with 3 children and because I work from home.  I also have my cell phone set so certain numbers have different rings, this way I can tell before looking at my phone if it is someone I really need to consider picking up the phone for.

I've only got a cell phone, but I do screen my calls.  If I don't recognize the number I won't pick up.  If it's important the caller can leave me a message

HECK NO!!! Those calls are my goldmine. I convert them from telemarketers working for nothing to telemarketers working for themselves and making the big bucks. But I have another line for my Internet business and I send those all to voicemail and call them back when I have time.
