Thanx Bud, I got alot of practice on the subject cause I argue daily with my mother who, you guessed it, is religious!! I try and try to teach her how things really arent just created from some magical all mighty being but from Real processes that are so much more amazing than the bible could ever describe!!!! And I show her all the descrepencies in the book and how so many things it says are just plain made up!!!! its a never ending battle!!! But hey, thank goodness for people like us who havent gone completely mad!!!!   ;D

Wow I mean arent you adults!!! Why do you think that stuff isnt allowed in schools???? Cause its all false!!! No fact!!!! Jesus was a real person but thats it, A PERSON with a real mother and a real human father just like me and you!!! He just needed alot of attention and just wanted to be remembered!!!!! Any educated person knows that the universe was not created in 7 days and the universe is not 6 thousand years old( as said in the bible)! Theuniverse is almost 15 billion years old and I mean jesus himself didnt even believe in a religion til he met john the baptist and the bible describes john the baptist as a crazy wildman in the woods alone who only eats locusts!!! Yuck!!!! So really all this religious beliefs came from a crazy wildman who ate locusts and lived alone in the woods 2000 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just start watching some science channel instead of the usual cult T.V. and you will see its just a myth, a story, and nothing else!!!! Sorry to burst your bubble!!!!!!

Jesus was a real person, He was born of a virgin. This is how it happen, the angel Gabriel went to Nazareth  to the town of Galilee to a virgin, Mary,  told her God found favor in her. Basically the holy spirit came upon her and she was with child but she never knew a human man. When he was 12 years old he listen to the elders but he also answered questions that only some one that that of his age would not know. He was very wise for his age because he was his father's son, God's Son. When you talk about John the baptist, John said "I am not Christ, but I am sent ahead of him."  God did create the earth in 6 days but the 7h day he rested.  What is one day for God could be 1000's of days for us.  We do not know God's time line.

When you die and you meet your maker, God, and if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior who can wipe away your sins who is like your lawyer on the day of your judgement. Then you will surely go to hell.  If you do accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and ask him for forgiveness of your sins then you will live forever in heaven with Him.

Does any reasonable person have to read beyond this point in the above post?

Well, I personally believe there is a literal hell. After all where were Satan and his angels cast down to after being thrown from heaven? Hell was created for him, not human beings. I think that people put too much emphasis on hell when the KJV mentions hell a total of 54 times and the word love and it's other forms (loves, loved etc) appears 554.

Love wins.

However, I do not believe that every single person goes to heaven. God didn't come to judge the world but to save it, that's scripture and I believe it. But if a person is rejecting that salvation, in what sense do they make it to heaven?

Sin cannot enter the kingdom. How does anyone go there then since we all sin? Believing in Christ and his perfect sacrifice right? If you don't believe and you sin (which we all do) how do you enter the kingdom?

A person will not go to hell just because they don't believe it exists. So I'm not trying to argue that point, it just makes no sense to think that given the fact the only way to salvation is accepting Christ so as to be cleansed of sin, you can somehow enter the presence of God and not ever have accepted the gift of salvation. If we are justified by faith, how can someone of no faith in God be justified in his sight?

BUT, no matter who you are, no matter what your life has been like, no matter what horrible things you have done, no matter how much money you make, no matter how pretty or unattractive, no matter your color, your country, or your creed, Christ died for EVERYONE and God loves you.

That's how love wins. It conquers sin, it conquers hell, and it is unconditional. Does a God who loves his creation want them in hell? No. But if you reject his love, how can he save you?

That's not a monster in my opinion. That's a God worth living my life for. Because he isn't fair. If he was fair, then we all deserve to burn in hell. But he isn't fair he is merciful and his hand of mercy is outstretched to anyone who wants to take it.

Amen! :-)  Words WELL spoken.
From,
Your sister in Christ

:-O :-O :-O a bit shocked at what's being said in here. ppl condemn their own selves to hell by not accepting jesus it's their own fault. and as for things magically appearing, that's the way evolution explains it.. which is ridiculous- in the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth

God doesn't "Put you through hell" And he doesn't "send people to hell"..
Whether or not you go to hell is your choice.

But who in their right mind would choose to go to Hell?

So I have come to the conclusion that the real God, couldn't and wouldn't put anyone in hell. If God could and would subject his own creations to this torment then why like him period?

Heaven is going to be miserable with this God in charge because someone's relative is gonna be upset that they are burning in hell.

I believe there still is a GOd but like Zeus and all the other God's before this current popular God needs to go on the shelf.

What are your thoughts on this man made monster throwing people in hell for eternity?
I can't agree with that at all I believe i'ts possible.

And how would anyone know if she realy was a virgin? What if this woman was raped and just couldnt bare to tell anyone so she lied to everyone, even her child!!!! And if she was a virgin, so what!!!! cause thats a natural thing for a woman to give birth without having sexual intercourse! Very rare but in those times it would have been called a miracle and they would all believe he was the son of a god to have a virgin mother! But really there is cases where extremely high doses of calcium in women will cause a birth consisting of 23 chromosomes from a cell and another 23 chromosomes from another cell in the mother, thus creating 46 chromosomes!!! The child will have almost 100 percent traits of the mother!!!! Not saying this is what happened in the case of the virgin mary but if this did happen 2000 years ago than surely it would be claimed as a miracle!!!! The child being told his whole life he is special and maybe told he was the son of a god!!! There was so much superstition in those times it was unbelieveable!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway if you payed attention to your history you would know that its a proven fact that jesus was not a miracle man and he would send people ahead of him to villages to await his arrival and be a secret assistant to him!!! I have seen this on THE HISTORY CHANNEL!!! And this is no lie!!!!! They would ask people "Have you heard of the son of god? The miracle man Jesus?" He had some guys pretend to be ill or blind and then fake being healed at the touch of his hand!!!! It was all a very elaborate Hoax and just maybe the biggest Hoax EVER!!!!!! It has lasted over 2000 years and I see no sign of people learning the truth!!! :bootyshake: :bootyshake: :angel12: :angel12:

God does not put anyone in Hell. He made a way for everyone to be saved when he died on the cross for the sins of the world. But he gives man a free will to accept his salvation or to reject it. You decide your own destiny by the choice you make. And as far as those people who believe they will get to Heaven because of being a "good person" I am sorry to tell you that you are wrong. No man is worthy to enter into Heaven because of his own good works. The Bible says that man's righteousness(goodness) is like filthy rags in the eyes of God. It is not what we do that will get us to Heaven but is what He did at Calvary when he shed his blood for the sins of man. He was sinless himself, yet he took upon himself our sins and paid the price for our sins that we might be saved!! Hallelujah!!

So how does an all-knowing god allow for free will when the god already knows the future of everything? By default there is no freewill if he is that powerful.
