Wow!!! The trial that had everything!
« on: July 01, 2011, 09:32:30 am »
The defense rested yesterday in the Casey Anthony trial.  Then, sometime during that quagmire of dirt and mud, a TGI Friday employee wandered in and, after pretending to smoothe his beard, he made an obscene gesture to the prosecution.  Ha, ha!!  Then he was caught on camera, had to stand before the judge, was fined, and given jail time.  You couldn't make ths stuff up!

The Casey Anthony trial certainly was interesting.

And today, Sunday, the defense lawyer, Jose Baez, is trying to prove reasonable doubt by calling most of his witnesses liars, plus his client.  Does that make sense?????

I haven't been following too closely. Just reading bits here and there. But I just get the impression her lawyer isn't doing a very good job.

I think Casey Anthony's lawyer is doing OK, but he doesn't have much to work with.  I think he painted himself in a corner by trying to claim her daughter's death was an accident and that her father tried to cover it up.  Why would a father deliberately put his daughter on trial for her life to cover up a simple accident.  It makes no sense.

I have not been following too closely, just news bites. But, in my opinion, any mother that would go out partying like she did and her child missing, should be killed.

You say that her lawyer is not doing a very good job-----Well---MOST court appointed lawyers----DO NOT DO MUCH OF ANYTHING!!

Actually, Jose Baez is not a court-appointed lawyer.  He is being paid good money to make a complete mess of this case.  I read an article online that listed some of his own run-ins with the legal system, including not paying child support, just for starters.  This man is as slimy as he looks!

In my humble opinion, the prosecution didn't need to do anything more than show the little girl was dead and her body left in a swamp.  Then show the mom lying and partying.  All the other stuff they threw in there just took up time and confused the issue.  What were they thinking  :BangHead:  I only watched a few days of the trial on tv but I think, the prosecution was the best defense for Miss Anthony.  What an arrogant bunch.  They are supposed to be representing Caylee not getting airtime being argumentative and putting on questionable evidence that the defense could use to cloud the issue  :dontknow:
