Verizon ends unlimited data
« on: July 06, 2011, 04:41:41 am »
Not a big deal to me I have Virgin Mobile and have unlimited data. 8)  I don't see how this is a huge deal anyway.  The minimum 2GB of data is quite a bit to go through in just one month.  2GB of data equals sending/receiving 10,000 one-page text emails and 1,500 one-page emails with an attachment, viewing 4,000 Web pages, uploading/downloading 500 photos to social media sites, or 200 minutes of standard def video.  If you are using more data than this then you likely need to put down your phone and get to living.

I only use my phone data for looking up addresses or directions or posting a status update.  I never go over and I only have 75mb a month.  Everything else I do on computer cause it seems to go smoother that way.

I am basically sick of the greed of Verizon and I am looking for any suggestions for alternate service. All I have is a basic phone with no long distance or fancy do-dads like call waiting and all that jazz. I have basic internet service that's it. My bill is averaging over 55 dollars a month and I think this is ridiculous. This greedy grasping stuff is beginning to freak me out all the utility companies seem to do it. For the utilities I pray for solar energy in the city for Verizon I am looking for alternatives. Any suggestions? :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

It looks like all cellular companies are removing unlimited data. They are also going to start getting rid of unlimited texts

I use verizon prepaid service it is not that bad of a plan, therefore I do only use the service to send texts and place calls to family and friends, To hear that they are ending unlimited data is no big surprise but it does dissapoint me a bit.
