I, too, am saddened that Christ has been removed from our schools.

Why is this?  In your home you can teach whatever you want.  The schools are public places where different people of different races, cultures and religions attend.  The face of America has changed dramatically over the past 50 or so years.  Why should a Muslem, Buddhist, Jewish, or any other student have to sit though or be forced to participate in a religion that is not theirs?  The schools cannot discriminate.  If they allow a certain religion they have to teach them all it would only be fair.  The business of religion is not the schools job.

If you want to keep Christ in your school send your kid to a private religious school.  Why do you expect the public school system to teach your religion to your child?  Would you like it if they forced your child to say Islamic prayers and pray five times to the east?

Nothing else, in my opinion or belief, is as important as a relationship with Christ and putting him as your number one priority above anything or anybody else.

(logical opinion)

I find it neat that you can easily tell the difference between the old, ignorant, and brainwashed people from the younger, intelligent, and open-minded people.

All of our money has "IN GOD WE TRUST" on it, and I hope that never changes.

Woooowwww....lol.

Our country sure sucks when it comes to educating people.  I am reminded of this every time I read posts like this.

While I can tolerate not having my Cell phone. I would not give a thought towards not having Christ in my life.

WHAT A STUPID QUESTION------because-----IF----one is a believer----THEN NATURALLY-----the answer would be Christ---but---IF you are a non believer the obvious answer would be the cell phone.

HOWEVER-----I got a toll free telephone HOT LINE, and I can call Jesus anytime.Yes I can. He is always on the line. He's a very personal friend of mine,  and I can call Jesus any time.

In most cases, the cell phone is a waste of time and money. True, cell phones are critical for emergencies and the like, but everyone doesn't need to have one. If kids really got to know Christ, they would not use cell phones as much. We often have the problem of trying to live without Christ and trying, without success, to fill an empty void in our lives with movies, friends, gadgets, etc., a void that only Christ can fill

This is kind of an outdated way of thinking. It is with movies, friends, gadgets, etc. that information spreads and we learn things that are beyond religious dogma and help enlighten society.

However, you pay for that "toll-free" hotline dearly.

There is definitely some truth to that. I should have clarified. What I mean is that if we let things take total control of our life to the exclusion of God, then there is a problem.

I'm not sure if that clarifies or muddles what I meant...

Thanks for explaining the technicality. I must still disagree though-- it's best to keep busy and enjoy life and the world. I consider constantly weighing ones conscience with the guilt and fear that this religion brings kind of a waste.

Neither, both Impersonal. Take both away from your children and see how they grow up without pier pressure. Pier Pressure from Main stream America and Pier Pressure from an Invented God. :o :o

"Pier" pressure is when your boat is tied to a dock and some kind of current or tide is pushing your boat against the dock.  Peer pressure is social pressure exerted by your peers, or the people in your age and social group.
