Favoite mode to travel on Vacation

We travel by car when we take our summer vacation as we take a ton of stuff, along with a boat.  When we do our winter vacations, we fly as we go to Florida.  Then we rent a car for the time we are there.

One of the News stories today was about a lady who sold her home and bought an RV to travel around the United States.  So what is your favorite mode of transportation while you are on vacation?  Mine is by train. 

That used to be my answer, too! It's so expensive these days, so I'd go with by car.

I don't like to fly so I would Drive if I ever took a vacation, but I don't remember ever taking a vacation as a kid and has an adult I know I have not, can't afford to these days.

I use to love to fly but now all the  I assume to drive where ever i go.

Flying. It's quicker and personally, I love the feeling of going to the airport, getting on the plane, taking off, etc. It's fun for me. But, most of the time we drive... flying is way more expensive, then you have to rent a car... it's such a big process.

I rather hop in my vehicle and take a vacation that way. Then, I will have the ability to stop at any historic sites along the roads and take pictures of the beautiful scenery. I will never travel by airplane especially after 9/11 and I never been in a airplane anyways. Some day, I would like to travel by train since I never been on one yet.

I like riding in the train long distance, as long as they have one of those Scenic cars.. you know the ones with the walls are all window..
