The I.R.S. would consider such employment as being an independent contractor and if such income is subject to taxes, an independent contractor will receive a 1099-G showing taxable income.

Actually we send a 1099-MISC (not 1099-G), and only if you exceed $600 in earnings for a calendar year.

Absolutely right; I sit corrected.  Thanks, Admin.
At least the independent contractor part was accurate, (1099-G is actually used for accounting for "misc. government income", not for MISC income).  Taxes on $600 wouldn't be so bad.

I actually wonder how many people receive the 1099/make over $600/yr. I know it is possible but I myself have yet to hit that yearly mark

Best answer to this would be found within FusionCash guidelines as well as your tax consultant.
It fall in as a business of your own and depends on how much of these income streams you're receiving payment from.

Given their banners, at least a few on FC are well on their way to exceeding $600 however, they'll know for sure when they get a form 1099-MISC in the mail. I haven't gotten one from this, (yet), but I once got one after one very good night at the Reno blackjack tables.

Many of the big referral earners move into the affiliate program sooner or later, which is totally separate from your FC account and doesn't show up in earnings banners.

You know someone is going to ask what the affiliate program entails, sooner or later.  Would they be referred to "old buddy" or, can Admin give a general idea?

For the affiliate program you have to have a website or other method of delivering substantial volume (at least a few hundred referrals a month, consistently).  Anything short of that and you're in referral territory.

Thanks, Admin.  That does give a general idea of what it takes to be an affiliate.  Something the especially ambitious to shoot for.
