Cell Phone Parts
« on: June 19, 2012, 07:38:01 pm »
Anyone have a site they recommend for buying cell phone parts? My son cracked my LCD the other day and so far the cheapest I've found to replace myself is on ebay for $99 which I think is the best I am going to get.

My husband broke the LCD on his iPhone last week and found the replacement part on eBay for 29.99 - buy it now price with free shipping. I don't know what kind of phone you have, but $99 seems kind of steep! Be sure you're searching through all the listings on eBay and not just buying the first one you see. Maybe you'll find a better deal.

BTW, be really careful not to lose the screws when you change it out. They are so so tiny. My husband dropped a couple while he was working on it, and they took us forever to find. They literally looked like little pieces of dust. It was a lot of work and took him a long time to finish, but so worth it for a totally fixed phone for less than 30 bucks.

Thanks! I have the samsung stratosphere. I called a local shop and they said the screen through them is $120 w/$40 in labor - YIKES! Going to keep my eyes out though. Thankfully an old friend GAVE me a blackberry she had sitting in a drawer, I was willing to pay anyone for their spare phone so it was real nice of her

if you have to buy cell phone parts, ebay would the way to go. It helps to scout out the same products and make a price comparison before actually buying one.
