Is your tv ready for the switch
« on: April 12, 2009, 07:39:35 pm »
Lots of people have brought  into having a cable service. I love my demand tv..but if I didn't have it I'm being told I must buy a converter or something by june 12 or I wouldn't be able to watch the tv at all I can't even imagine going to someones home or even having someone come to my house and I'm not able to watch tv with them. things being so bad for some people I wish that this thing would be sold at resonable prices so people can afford it. Do you have one yet? no one I know have one most everone has a cable contract..

I have satellite so it shouldn't be a problem for me.  I heard that the converter boxes are like $50.

 I have satellite but thinking about cutting it off to save on expenses so I'll have to get one of those things. I'll have to admit I was aggravated about that..seems like its anything to get your money. >:( They know most people are going to want to watch tv.

I don't even have cable, not interested. Nothing good on TV these days anymore. I just catch the news online and other important things.

I have satellite, but thinking seriously about shutting it down to save on cost.

Do you need a converter box for each TV?

If so, that would very expensive at $50 and if you have more than 1 TV which most folks. do. :BangHead:

Keep in mind, if you do get rid of cable/satellite in favor of the converters, you'll need a band new digital antenna or the converter is useless.

But if your TV is a newer one, you won't need the converter at all.
