its almost that time of year again when we set the clocks back and it becomes darker earlier. I love longer days going to miss the sunsets at 7:42 :-[

I will be happy to get that one time extra hour of sleep.
Of course it throws off the internal biological clock.

amy122185~ I agree, psychologically, I feel like I can get more things done or have more time when the day is longer. When the night comes to quickly, I get depressed cause I feel like I'm running out of time to do or get anything down. I do like the extra sleep but not the short days. I know that this was created cause it was a way for farmers to set harvest time but why inflict everyone w/this? This fall back or spring forward really is a downer for people who have what is called seasonal depression. When the sun isn't up long enough this causes sever depression for those who have seasonal blues. Yap, I've have a mild case or maybe cause I take depression pills it's not as bad as when I was younger & didn't know why during this time I felt like, I was dying until spring sprang back. :peace:

I agree with you in the fact that I do not enjoy the time change.  I enjoy haveing longer afternoon hours.

I love the extra hour of sleep, but hate the shorter days.  I'm a night person without a car and it's hard enough to get things done now.

You don't actually get to sleep in an extra hour since you're going to sleep an hour earlier. I want summer back because I'm over it being dark at 7 when I'm trying to do things

It's really strange but it's part of nature. The extra one hour of sleep also does the body good...

I love the daylight saviings time when we can fall back and get an extra hour of sleep because I have sleep problems, but I have trouble with the spring forward time of the year and losing that hour of sleep for the same reason. It's hard for me to adjust at first. I probably wouldn't have a daylight savings time at all if it was me, but I guess they found it necessary for whatever reason. I don't really see the need for it. I guess it's ok, but I wonder why it's needed sometimes.

I like longer days too -- sunlight until 8pm.
I notice already that it gets dark earlier.

Thats the only part of the fall/winter season that I do not like.   Here in N.C.  it seems to get dark around 4:30 in the evening.  I like it much better in the summer when it doesn't get dark to around 9pm....

This daylight savings thing is totally new to me. It's been explained why it is happening, but it still does not make sense to me. I am used to going with the flow (nature wise) and in winter I knew that the days are shorter and I had to get up in the dark and come home from work in the dark and the other way around in summer. Yikes, still trying to figure out this thing....... :BangHead:
