Talking face to face. You can't see a person's body language or tone of voice with a text message.

I have a cell phone and if I had to text it would take me so long that if I drive to see them and cook supper I quicker to do those.  I have never master texting.  I just talk it is less trouble.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I used to talk, but now that I am going to school and busy all the time, texting is better than getting drawn out into a long conversation

Texting has it's place, if you want to say one thing or send the same thing to multiple people, but if there is going to be any kind of back and forth then I prefer talking.

Texting is very impersonal, but it is my preference because I'm so busy most of the time.
I agree, texting is impersonal and plus you can't drive and text, plus I haven't figured out how to text - I guess I am old fashoned, so I'd rather talk then text.!

I like to talk on the phone when important topics are discussed. I like to text when I have only a few minutes to get my message across. I also like to email/facebook when I have a few more minutes, but don't need an immediate response.

You can find me on Youtube!

Depends on the situation. I have a few friends I can sit on the phone w/ talking for hours. And if it's business or needs an immediate response, talking. But most of the time I prefer text. It's quick, I can get in contact w/ people even if I don't have time to stop and talk (I work and go to school full time). And perhaps the best is never having to go, "Huh? Sorry, I can't hear/understand you. What did you say?" Which is one of the reasons why the best conversations are usually face-to-face.

I much prefer texting.
I get tired ear and arm from holding the phone up to my head when conversations run too long.
When you text, it's brief, so no uncomfortable ear or arm.  ;D

Ten years ago, I was introduced to texting by a guy.  It was fun.  However, at that time, I didn't realize my calling plan didn't cover texts and I ran up a $400 phone bill.  As money was tight, I was horrified.  Today, my calling plan is unlimited.  I like both texting and talking.  I try to actually talk more than I text though.

Texting...allows for conversations to stay direct and to the point.

It depends.  If it's something urgent I'd rather talk but for leisurely conversing I'd rather text b/c I can get stuff done and come back to it as I please.
