Lower Gas Prices- Just in time for holiday travel!

The gas prices in my area dropped from $3.50ish to the $2.90-$3.00 range. That in itself is a relief- kind of like a Christmas present for my wallet/budget! What are the gas prices in your area?

Its wonderful its dropped to 2.99 here in southern oregon but I'm sure it will be going back up it seems to be bouncing up and down a lot in the past few days.

What a great Christmas present!  Our town has the highest gas prices in the area; when we go to the "big cities" in the area, gas prices have been as much as 12 cents/gallon cheaper.  There are a lot of advantages to living in a small town, but gas prices are not one of those perks.  Still, I would not trade places... love my small town of less than 6000 people.

The lowest I've seen gas in my town in the last couple of days was $3.14.  When I was growing up, gas was $.20 a gallon!!!  Can you believe that!

our prices here in New York are still around 350 to 360 and  over 5 for Diesal  wish ours would come down more :BangHead:24

Ours haven't dropped all that much. But we live right along the freeway and not much in between for miles. Just wish diesel would go down a lot. It just doesn't make sense that it is so much higher the gas when it cost less to make. I guess it is because all the big rigs need it. I think it is called greed. and of course the more the truckers have to pay the more groceries and everything else go up.

It would be nice if they would stay low, and make food prices and everything else come down a bit.

I am sure they will go back up after the holidays and everyone will start complaining again, at least it was some relief, with the elections and all.

I purchased gas for 2.98 this week. I'm happy about the price of gas decreasing.
