senior-itis or just pure boredom?

So as the years of high school drone on people constantly accuse 12th graders of becomeing suddenly lazy.  Usually the term senior-itis is used to describe this but I myself a high school senior don't think it's just that.  Actually I think it's because we get bored of the same old routine day in and day out.  It just gets boooring.  Why not put a little bit of excitement into our step make it worthwhile for us to come?  Besides half-way through senior yr we already know what college we are going to the following year and that the rest of the school year is basically a waste of time.  Personally, I needed 1.5 credits to graduate and complete my required amount but why should I have to take classes like consumer economics? Because honestly I never plan on buying stocks and the rest of that stuff I learned in the real world when I opened a bank account or bought some food.
