Feeding my dog
« on: January 14, 2013, 11:20:16 am »
Any ideas would help.  I've got 4 dogs (2 little 2 big).  We give them NO people food at all.  This way they don't beg for food as we're eating it and we don't want them eating people food.  When we have some friends or relatives over (especially when we cookout) they insist on giving the dogs food, even though they know we don't approve.   Their answers are "A little won't hurt them", "Don't be so mean, let them enjoy", "my dog love (whatever they have on the plate).  What can we do to stop this?  I don't want to have to lock them in a room, they are not the problem!

I would not be welcome in your house .my husband hates when i give our lab scraps but when the food isn't that good it's a good way to get rid of it. He is 9 and healthy has a nice coat and energy for his age.I would keep telling them you don't like it maybe if the dogs are used to dog food people food might be hard for them to take. another thing that is bad for my dog he will eat used paper towels like with bacon grease on them that i hate have to hide the garbage can.

This cracked me up, because my wife gets *bleep* noses a lot and my Chihuahua LOVES to shred the Kleenex she gets all *bleep*. It grosses her out!
