Being thankful for your blessings even if you dont think you have any is the prayer of the start of every day. Bless everyone you know. Sending healing to everyone and the earth and the universe. these are a few things prayers are good for. :angel12:

Prayer is channel of communication between you and your maker...God.  It is the same as we are speaking in this Forum.  We pray to God for thanks, guidance, etc.  :angel11:

Prayer to me is my personal time with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  It is my time to commune with Him, to praise Him for the many blessings, to seek forgiveness for the trespasses I have committed against others and to share my burdens with Him.
Have a wonderful day!

FOR YOU WHAT IS PRAYER ?????
PRAYER FOR ME IS STRENGTH ,LIKE A KEY THAT OPENS THE DOOR TO HEAVEN .
PRIORITIES.
I like to use the phrase "Talking to God" for prayer. It is your own personal communication to your Creator and the subject can be anything you choose to talk about. Prayer restores and refreshes me to continue on. Life has its bumps and we all have bruises. Positive reinforcement is what I get back from talking to God. I am glad so hear "Prayer" has not left people!

Prayer is talking to and with God. It is that time of personal fellowship with the Father. If we spend time in prayer, we will discover God's will for our lives.

Prayer is meant to be a time of praise and worship. All too often, people simply want to give God their to-do list. This serves no purpose. God has already decided what He is going to do. He does not need your list.

prayer for me is to thank the lord for everything, just to give thanks for loving us and, waking us up everyday.  to let me thank the lord for being lord our father, and making it where we don't have to want for anything, for being a great provider, healer, i just love to give thanks to the lord all day everyday.

Prayer is simply speaking with God about anything on my heart, my thoughts, my burdens, praising Him, thanking Him, asking for His help for others who have needs, etc.  Reading His Word is also a way He "speaks" to me, including providing help, support, encouragement, answers, knowledge, spiritual growth, and so much more.

Prayer is communication with God.  However, I pray many, many different way.  I sing, I praise Him, I adore Him, I thank Him, I repent, I listen, I simply talk with Him.

I know I need something in my life. I am not sure if prayer is it...I need to rest and be quiet with myself and reflect. I don't know if that is prayer but I think it will help clear my mind

That's called meditation. And it doesn't require fictional deities. It's also very healthy, and recommended for those who deal with a lot of stress.
